I was going to be on the schedule for today. SM knows I'm involved with my church and asked me a month ago if I do anything with the church on Christmas Eve. I told her we have a CE service that I attend but that's it. So I was surprised to find I was not on the schedule today (and of course tomorrow), but I *am* working Friday night. I'm grateful for the day off today as I had some last minute shopping to do. I picked up a pocket knife for Dad who recently lost his (hoping it turns up-it was a nice one and, I think, a gift from his mom?). I grabbed some last minute grocery items for tomorrow's party at bff's sister's house plus a Christmas brunch with the family Friday morning before I have to go to work. And on the way home from church tonight, I realized I'd forgotten to get bff's kitty anything. I'd already gotten her two doggos each a toy and I'd been meaning to stop at Pet Smart or Hollywood Feed to get her kitty his beloved bonito flakes (he won't eat his breakfast without them). But I didn't, which is why I was in Dollar General tonight getting a couple less exotic kitty treats for Grigio. I felt bad for the cashier; she'd worked Thanksgiving and was working tonight and was pretty upset about it. Not that I can blame her.
