15 minutes early to allow for bad roads but the roads were not too bad. In some spots, they were just wet. The snow stopped about an hour after I got to work and then of course started up again with a vengeance an hour before we were supposed to leave. It was just the store manager and me all day today (and very few customers) and she shocked me by suggesting we close up 15 minutes early. This is the same woman who had an absolute fit last year when my co-worker "B" and I wanted to leave early due to bad weather and ZERO sales all day (my store is on Main Street in a charming little town, not inside a nice, warm, dry mall, so weather definitely affects business). SM actually threatened to drive into work (it was her day off) and run the place herself. We finally convinced her to let us go an hour early and it was still the most terrifying drive home I've possibly ever had.

But back to today...it took me almost twice as long to get home tonight NOT because of how *I* was driving but because there were two cars in front of me driving with their flashers on (meaning they were going to be driving slowly, either because their car couldn't handle the snowy roads or *they* couldn't). For most of the drive home, the two cars topped out at 13 MPH (the speed limit is 45 MPH on this particular road). One was still in front of me when I turned down my street; I noticed a tail of at LEAST 20 cars behind us. The other slow driver? Turned into a local pizza place ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
