This is what I wanted The Diplomat to be, I think.

The basic premise is Thompson is a PI whose husband dies and helps Ruth Wilson who is looking for a missing child, but it has some UK government conspiracy and is an extremely fun ride. I was expecting something more like Bad Sisters, but it's more spy and conspiracy. Yes, it's been renewed for S2, but it did more or less have an ending in case it hadn't been.
