~The ride from the airport. Thanking him for inviting him to the cottage. Taking his hand. I love how their conversations have shifted.

I loved that entire scene. I also loved Shane carrying Ilya's bags, the tour of the house, them falling onto the couch. How tickled was Shane when Ilya said he hadn't been with anyone else since Shane! Then going into the bedroom..and everything that happened in the bedroom.

~Ilya's sarcasm is my happy place. So many great lines/moments. Such as: Your father must be boring. Is that where you get your boring? Stupid Canadian Wolf Bird! 🀣🀣🀣. When they are playing the hockey game. Well, you're not anything! I'm on the cover of the fuqing game!☠️

Ilya saying "You are so boring," in a Russian accent lives rent free in my head! πŸ˜‚

That man had like 2 weeks to learn/perfect that accent. I am hella impressed with him.

~All of their tender moments. There were many! Ilya laying in Shane's lap and telling him that he was 12 when he found his mother dead, from taking a bottle of pills. 😒 Shane literally being stunned by it. Not sure what to say or do.

This is probably the safest Ilya has felt since his mother died. That "I don't want you to think she was weak" was telling. I'm sure Ilya grew up hearing that especially from his father and stupid mooching Alexie.

That is a good callout.

~Good morning. Good morning. I like you! I like you too!

*Me underneath the bed at the cottage* Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

You are killing me. πŸ˜‚

~Don't get me started on the BJ while he was on the phone with Hayden. 😈 The way Ilyas was acting watching, his crotch and his glee when the flag was at half-staff because he knew he could make it go full staff. And he did!

That BJ was diabolical. I love how Shane eventually just gave in and let Ilya finish! LOL

I'm surprised he was still able to form complete sentences.

~Don't marry Svetlana! Just don't. We can figure something else out, okay? Okay! Loved how Shane's eyes were welling with tears and in that moment, Ilya understood.

If, "I beg your finest fecking pardon" was a facial expression it would have been Shane's face when Ilya was talking about marrying Svetlana.

ALL of this!

The actor who plays Shane is a master of the eye welling

ICAM. He does that Jonathan Jackson, glassy eye thing so well.

~I loved Shane's plan. He's so smart. The charity is a great idea and the tie-in to honor Ilya's mother, no less! I LOVE YOU! I mean... I love you too! OMG, I love you so much! Fuq Hollander (cries) to me, it was the vulnerability. The fear. Did I say too much? This man means everything to me and wants a life with me and I want one with him so bad. I'm going to grab this happiness.

I love when Shane turns on the light you realize he's been sitting up in the dark thinking about this. πŸ˜‚

You know our little worry wart was. Do I wake my boo to talk or let him sleep. It's late. I'll let him sleep. An hour later, still awake. Fuq it. Babe, can we talk? LOL

ITA with everything you said about the "I love you." Even before when Shane says he wants them to be together. Ilya is use to being used. He's not use to be wanted just for himself. He becomes overwhelmed with emotions and how much he loves Shane.

~I knew the second Shane put the shades down and Ilya put them back up--they were going to be found out! Shane's freakout was so on the nose. He grabbed on to Iyla for comfort, security, and support. He embraced him and did his best to calm him down and reassure him that it's going to be okay. Even offered to go with him to face his parents. That's love! And LOL@ Ilya coming out in a Boston shirt and short, shorts and Shane's like, really? What? They don't know I play for Boston? Loved the scenes at his parents' house.

Loved this scene because of the direction and decision to not have Shane push Ilya away or imply that he blames Ilya which typical happens in similar stories. One person freaks out, the other tries to comfort and the person responds by telling them they should leave, or they need to fix this alone. Shane freaked out but he went towards Ilya not pushed him away. Its refreshing to see this.

Very refreshing. Angst is fine. But they are well-beyond all that. They are also more mature now. No games. No deflection. They faced it together and I loved how Shane hung onto him for dear life. Ilya so got it!

~Loved the family scenes. It all rang true. Shane stopping Ilya from eating because his momager was in full damage control mode and Ilya sucking up the pasta--secretly. πŸ˜‚ Shane's mom apologizing that that she made him feel like he couldn't tell her. Shane telling her that she forgives him. But the cherry on my sundae was absolutely Ilya calming Shane down when he was freaking out:

Ilya is so happy with his pasta. The little shimmy with his shoulders! LOL

I didn't even notice the shimmy the first time and after multiple viewings -- it's so cute!

As for what I didn't like. Only six freaking episodes and having to wait until 2027 😩😩😩

I won't survive. There's no way I'll make it to 2027.

We will. This too shall pass.

I hope we see more of Scott & Kip in season 2. My dream is for Jacob T to write/add a scene where the four of them go to dinner/have dinner together and talk about anything and everything. I love the idea of found family.

I hope so too. Such a different dynamic between the couples. I hope they end up as friends. Double dates, game nights, and barbecues.
