I have occasionally checked out consignment shops, looking for the OG "girlfriend slim leg" jeans my store sells that used to be a little longer. But right now, nobody's giving those up.
I did discover that if I get a pair of ankle jeans from my store in "tall" length, they fit right where I want them to. But again, even with my employee discount, they'd still be more than I'm willing to pay. I have a pair on hold right now at my store, and this week, employees get an extra discount, so even though they're almost $30, I might get them anyway. Or I might not; they're a non-traditional color (a deep eggplant) and I don't really have a lot to wear with them other than black and white.
