Fans agree that season one was brilliant. Almost everyone agrees that season two, while slightly less brilliant, was very, very good. Opinions are mixed on season three; I enjoyed it but not as much as the first two seasons, and I can understand why those who didn't like it didn't like it. But we pretty much all agree that season four was an absolute train wreck. As a fan of the traditional 20-22 episodes per season of shows (back in the day; of course now it's much more common to do shortened seasons, even on network TV), I'm long accustomed to finding moments of goodness in bad episodes or even arcs I dislike. But honestly, I can't think of a single thing from season four of The Umbrella Academy that I actually enjoyed...except maybe the sound system of Diego's run down van being broken and "Baby Shark" constantly playing as a result.
