I remember the first time I watched The Wire. I was in a hotel room with my kids. They were little and asleep in the bed. My husband went down to the hotel bar (we were visiting my family and I didn't drink back then, lol). So I sat on the floor in front of the TV with the volume down low and started scrolling through the channels. I stopped on The Wire. It caught my eye because at first I seriously thought it was a documentary. At the time I was a juvenile probation officer in the "inner city". It literally looked like my job. And then Omar kissed his boyfriend and I realized it was an HBO show. But seriously, they got it 100% right. They could have filmed 90% of that show in Chester, PA.
