Direct TV finally got their On-Screen Episode Guides posted for next week. The bad news, of course, is that Paul's case appears to have dropped completely off the charts. This continues to fuel the speculation that Paul's case will be wrapped up as abruptly as Phyllis's hit and run case was wrapped up - and that DOUG DAVIDSON will either be quickly hustled off to Siberia - or to a permanent spot on the back burner. Friends of Jill continue to pour into town. IGNACIO SERRICCHIO will debut some time in early December as Alex, an undercover police officer from New York. SERRICCHIO formerly appeared as DIEGO ALCAZAR, long-lost son of General Hospital's Crime Lord Lorenzo Alcazar. Naturally, while JFP was still giving orders at the rapidly sinking General Hospital . Two new male models will also be hitting town some time in November. REDERICK WILLIAMS will reportedly debut as Sarge's nephew Tyler Douglas, and will work with Lily at Jabot. LAMON ARCHEY will reportedly be named Mason when he arrives in town. JESS WALTON is still reportedly on her way back to town as JILL - but, there is still no indication as to whether or not TRISTAN ROGERS will also return as Colin. Chances are - probably not. WALTON will be involved in a story which will transpire over a period of four to six weeks. An upcoming shocking revelation, of course, will be the news that Officer RONAN MALLOY apparently has a secret child stashed somewhere. And, of course, it will turn out to be Miss-Center-Stage-Summer who knows all of the details about Ronan's deep, dark secret! Of course, MARCY RYLAN, Genie Francis and DEBBI MORGAN will all make their hasty exits in the next couple of weeks. So, whatever deep-dark secret which Sarge has been harboring, which involved Yolanda - will most likely remain a deep-dark secret. Also, remember that BILLY MILLER and MICHAEL GRAZIADEI have decided NOT to remain as Billy and Daniel. So, whatever story you THOUGHT would be upcoming for Billy and/or Daniel - has probably been scrapped by now. Will long-time viewers still be able to recognize Y&R by the time that Christmas rolls around? Only time will tell, but it looks less and less likely at this point in time. In the meantime, Soaps dot com has had a detailed recap of Monday's episode posted for several hours now. Following is a brief synopsis of Monday's action.

Y&R -- Nikki and Victor are flooded with memories of their life together at the ranch, and begin making plans for their future. Cane is disappointed when he learns about Jack's plans for Jabot. Cane and Lily blame Genevieve for Jack's decision about the CEO position at Jabot. Summer continues to blame Phyllis for her automobile accident. Phyllis is surprised by Jack's job offer.

Following her chess game with Nick, Avery leaves the Athletic Club. Phyllis waits until Avery leaves, then she approaches Nick. Phyllis attempts to convince Nick that they need to talk about Summer because Summer is NOT returning phone calls to Phyllis. Nick explains that Chelsea lost her baby following the auto accident. Phyllis attempts to convince Nick that this is the reason why it is not a good idea for Phyllis and Nick to be separating just now - but Nick refuses to listen to Phyllis's arguments. When Phyllis makes plans to go find Summer, Nick urges Phyllis NOT to go chasing Summer down. While Nick is still attempting to persuade Phyllis to leave Summer alone, Nick is interrupted by the waiter, asking Nick to sign the bill for this evening's meal. When Nick looks around, he realizes that Phyllis has disappeared.

Cane and Lily stop off at Crimson Lights after attending a movie. Cane brings up his concern that Genevieve has been paying a strange woman to pretend to be Cane's deceased sister - but Lily points out that Genevieve probably does not have enough money to be hiring an actress to pretend to be Samantha. When Lily suggests that Genevieve COULD be telling the truth and that someone COULD be setting her up - Cane brushes aside Lily's suggestions.

At the Genoa City Athletic Club, Genevieve tries to speak to the mystery woman and offers the woman $100,000 to help Genevieve learn who really DID hire the mystery woman to impersonate Samantha. The mystery woman turns down Genevieve's offer. When Genevieve begins naming the people who COULD be behind the scheme for the woman to impersonate Samantha, Genevieve notices that the woman shows a flicker of interest when Genevieve mentions Colin's name. However, when Genevieve pursues her line of questioning, the mystery woman insists that she has NO idea who Colin is - and scurries away.

Katherine stops off at Abbott Mansion and tries to convince Jack that Jack needs to focus all of his attention on Jabot - and return Newman Enterprises to the Newman family. Jack points out that Katherine herself would probably prefer to be back, working full time at Chancellor, rather than being content to be in retirement. Jack argues that he is actually doing Nick, Victoria and even Nikki a favor by taking over Newman Enterprises. Jack points out that Nick and Victoria now have enough money to establish their own businesses - enterprises which could give Nick and Victoria opportunities to create their own legacies, rather than continuing to live in Victor's shadow. Katherine finally leaves, but warns Jack NOT to lose himself in his headlong quest to own the world.

At the hospital, Victor realizes that Nikki is visibly shaken, and tries to get Nikki to level with him about the reason why Nikki is so unsettled. Victor admits that he is giving Nick, Victoria and Abby an opportunity to prove what they have learned from Victor over the years. Later, when Nikki falls asleep in the chair next to Victor, the nurse comes in to check on Victor and notices that Nikki has fallen asleep. When the nurse mentions that Nikki appeared upset after she received that last telephone call, Victor waits until the nurse leaves. After the nurse has gone, Victor checks Nikki's cell phone - and learns that the last phone call which Nikki received was a call about the fire at the Ranch.

At Crimson Lights, Cane and Lily begin to discuss Jack's plans for Jabot, now that Jack has moved all of his attention over to Newman Enterprises. Lily suggests that Cane would be the perfect person to take the reins at Jabot and suggests that Cane make plans to visit Jack this evening in order to convince Jack that Cane would be the perfect candidate to take the helm at Jabot. Cane agrees.

At Nick's place, Phyllis tries to quiz Summer about the fire at the Newman Ranch, but Summer continues to evade her mother's questions. Phyllis offers her opinion that she is happy that Summer and Faith were not involved in the fire. When Phyllis tries to offer her sympathy for the problems which must have developed after Summer learned that Chelsea lost her baby following the automobile accident, Phyllis is stunned when Summer retorts that she continues to believe that PHYLLIS is the one responsible for the accident. Phyllis insists that there is NO way that Summer can blame Phyllis for the accident.

At the Hospital, Nikki wakes up and realizes that Victor is no longer in his bed. Nikki calls the nurse, who reports that Victor would not have been taken out for tests at this hour, and suggests that, perhaps, Victor took a walk down the hall. Nikki asks the nurse to check for Victor on the floor - then Nikki checks the closet and discovers that Victor's clothes are gone. Nikki suddenly realizes that her cell phone was within Victor's reach - and leaps to the conclusion that Victor must have learned about the fire at the Ranch. Meanwhile, Victor arrives at the Ranch, and surveys the damage.

Katherine stops off at Crimson Lights and stops to chat with Lily. Lily becomes concerned when she tells Katherine that Cane went to Jack's place to discuss the possibility of Cane taking over as CEO of Jabot, now that Jack's full attention is being devoted to Newman Enterprises - and Kay warns Lily not to be concerned if Jack overlooks Cane's suggestion that Cane take over at Jabot.

Meanwhile, at Abbott Mansion, Cane suggests that Jack consider Cane as the possible CEO for Jabot. Jack insists that, although he values Cane's hard work and talent, Jack has someone else in mind to take over as Jabot's CEO.

At Nick's place, Phyllis tries to convince Summer that Summer can NOT continue to blame Phyllis for Summer's mistakes. Summer hits the roof when Phyllis claims that Phyllis owned up to her mistakes. While Summer and Phyllis are arguing, Nick returns home. Summer bursts into tears and storms out of the room. After Summer has gone, Nick coldly reminds Phyllis that he told her to stay away from Summer.

As Victor looks through the ruins of the Newman Ranch, Nikki arrives and finds Victor there. Nikki is devastated when she realizes that the Ranch is truly a total loss. As Victor and Nikki look through the debris, they begin to remember some of the happy times which they shared at the Ranch. Victor and Nikki consider the possibility of being able to rebuild the Ranch. Victor suggests that they should make plans to move forward together, and suggests that they should begin making plans for their future.

At The Athletic Club, Jack spots Phyllis drinking alone and offers Phyllis a job at Newman Enterprises. Phyllis argues that Nick would never forgive her if she became involved with Jack at Newman Enterprises. Jack points out that, quite possibly, Nick will never be able to forgive Phyllis anyway. After reminding Phyllis that they have been a great team before, Jack leaves. Meanwhile, at Nick's place, Nick encourages Summer to chat about her current emotional turmoil. Nick tries to convince Summer to think long and hard before rushing into some sort of rash decision. Summer admits that she is not willing to make any promises. Nick then begins to explain some of the other shocking events of the day. Nick assures Summer that no one was injured during the fire at the Ranch. Nick assures Summer that, many times, when one door closes, another door opens.

Cane meets Lily at Crimson Lights and reports that he had no luck in convincing Jack to promote him to the CEO job at Jabot - and suggests that, possibly, Jack is still annoyed at the way that Genevieve attempted to grab Beauty of Nature when Jack wasn't looking. They are interrupted when Genevieve arrives and tries to explain that she believes that it was Colin who put the mystery woman up to impersonating Samantha - but Cane refuses to listen to Genevieve's report. Cane explains that he believes that Jack overlooked Cane for an important promotion, because Jack is still smarting over the way that Genevieve tried to manipulate Jack when Genevieve grabbed Beauty of Nature. Genevieve is stunned when Cane and Lily both walk away from her.

At the Ranch, Nikki and Victor take a walk down memory lane, and Victor urges Nikki to consider marrying him again - for the last time. This time, forever.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2012
Y&R -- Noah makes a confession to Nick about something which happened in New York. Phyllis accuses Avery of having designs on Nick. Victoria asks Billy to help her take over again at Newman Enterprises. Summer is pleased when Nick tells Summer and Noah that he has filed for a divorce from Phyllis. When Neil informs Jack that Neil does NOT plan to leave Chancellor Industries, Jack assures Neil that Neil will change his mind after he the learns the details about Jack's proposal. When Summer spots Phyllis and Ronan in a passionate embrace at Crimson Lights, Summer waits until after Phyllis leaves. Then Summer asks Ronan if Phyllis knows that Ronan has a child. MARCY RYLAN exits the role of ABBY NEWMAN.

Y&R -- Phyllis heads for a heated confrontation with Christine. Adam lies to Chelsea in order to protect Sharon. CATHERINE BACH is scheduled to return as Chelsea's mother, Anita, beginning OCTOBER 24.

Y&R -- Jack challenges Billy's loyalties. Victor issues a warning to Jack. Nikki encourages Victoria to focus on her marriage.

YOUNG AND RESTLESS
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2012 -- SUMMARY OF THE WEEK'S EVENTS
Y&R -- While Nikki and Victor are flooded with memories of their past - they begin to make plans for their future together. Phyllis continues to accuse Avery of putting the moves on Nick. Phyllis heads for a heated confrontation with Christine after Christine begins to make plans to launch a civil suit against Phyllis. Jack tests Billy's loyalty. Adam lies to Chelsea to help a frail Sharon. Avery sends a chess set to Nick, with a note, which suggests that Nick can now concentrate on improving his game. When Nick arrives at Avery's place to thank her, Nick discovers Avery has been accidentally locked out, and is clad only in her bathrobe. Nick uses a paper clip to open the lock and makes it possible for Avery to go back inside. Once inside, Avery and Nick begin some friendly banter. In the middle of their conversation, Phyllis arrives and leaps to all of the wrong conclusions. Avery and Nick decide that they don't care and just let Phyllis do her eruption thing, Jack invites Phyllis to come work with him at Newman. At first, Phyllis is unwilling to risk giving Nick a reason to hit the roof. However, after divorce proceedings between Phyllis and Nick take a hostile turn, Phyllis changes her mind and agrees to work with Jack. Katherine is stunned when Jack offers Neil an enormous salary hike in an attempt to convince Neil to leave Chancellor and take over as CEO of Jabot. Katherine advises Neil that she would NEVER be able to match Jack's offer, and Kay encourages Neil to make the move. Both Cane and Billy are stunned when they learn about Jack's plan to move Neil into the CEO position at Jabot. Billy becomes alarmed because Billy believes that Jack's move means that Jabot will no longer be able to live up to its legacy as a "family" company. Cane is annoyed because he believes that Jack has lingering animosity where Genevieve is concerned - and that Jack passed Cane over for promotion because of jack's feelings about Genevieve. -- JERRY DOUGLAS will put in another appearance as the spirit of John Abbott, on approximately FRIDAY, OCTOBER 26. MARCY RYLAN exits the role of ABBY NEWMAN on OCTOBER 23. CATHERINE BACH is scheduled to return as Chelsea's Mother, ANITA, beginning OCTOBER 24.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2012 -- SUMMARY OF THE WEEK'S EVENTS
Y&R -- Nikki and Victor move ahead with plans for their future. Nick and Noah discover damaging evidence which implicates Sharon in the fire at the Newman Ranch. Will Ronan's investigation actually implicate Genevieve? Tucker and Genevieve share a bittersweet farewell. Neil and Harmony share a heartfelt farewell. Jack receives some unsettling news. After Sharon receives unsettling news about her health, Adam continues to lie to Chelsea to prevent Chelsea from learning that Adam has been helping Sharon. GENIE FRANCIS is scheduled to exit the role of GENEVIEVE on OCTOBER 29. DEBBI MORGAN exits the role of HARMONY on OCTOBER 30. JESS WALTON is now scheduled to return as JILL on NOVEMBER 2. Currently, there is NO word that TRISTAN ROGERS will be returning as COLIN, as had been originally planned.

COULD BE EVEN WORSE NEWS AHEAD?
Y&R -- STEVE BURTON has decided to leave General Hospital. It is well known that incoming Y&R Exec JILL FARREN PHELPS has always had a special fondness for STEVE BURTON as GENERAL HOSPITAL'S mob enforcer, JASON MORGAN. A number of reporters are suggesting that it probably would not take much for JFP to attempt to entice BURTON into accepting a role at Y&R. Could Y&R audiences be looking at "Hollywood Heights comes to Genoa City and turns into Mob Central" in the near future? TV Guide is also reporting that BURTON'S exit from General Hospital is now a "done deal" - and that BURTON will be exiting GENERAL HOSPITAL on OCTOBER 22. Although Burton has stated that he and his family are headed for their new home in Tennessee, JFP has made statements, indicating that she would be happy to ask BURTON to join the Y&R cast. In the meantime, of course, keep in mind that IF ABC goes ahead with their original plan to axe General Hospital by April of 2013 - a whole lot of "Friends of Jill" could suddenly become interested in migrating from Port Charles to Genoa City.

MORE VERY BAD NEWS?!
Y&R -- Although both YVONNE ZIMMA and PETER PORTE appear to be gone for now as Daisy and Ricky - the BAD news is that the ramifications of their little dust-up is scheduled to drag out for the REST of the summer. While the good news is that there is some possibility that the new writers will wrap up the story about Paul's involvement in Ricky's death, sooner rather than later, the bad news is that the new writers may also be eager to hustle Paul and the rest of his family out of town - the sooner, the better.

HAS GOOD NEWS TURNED INTO BAD NEWS?
Y&R -- There are STILL REPORTS that the next obstacle which SHARON must face will be a scare about a brain tumor. Some are hoping that this will, in some way, give an explanation for Sharon's erratic behavior over the past couple of years. However, since hints are now being dropped that Sharon and Adam will once again become a couple, it does not look like Sharon's erratic behavior will be ending any time soon. Word is that ERIC BRAEDEN has signed a new contract and will continue in the role of VICTOR.

BABY ON BOARD?
Y&R -- Most likely, this idea has been scrapped by the new writers. However, there is always a possibility that the new writers will have second thoughts, and decide to follow through on some aspects of a story about a returning Genoa City troublemaker. There have been reports that a former Genoa City trouble maker will be headed back to Genoa City - with a baby in tow. Some are speculating that ADAM'S old girlfriend, SKYE, may be headed back to town with the news that she survived falling into a volcano, and now has a child. Other possibilities include DIANE, Patty and/or EMILY. Since ADRIENNE FRANZ has been put on recurring status at BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL, there is also a possibility that AMBER might be headed back to Genoa City - now that DANIEL is beginning to take his responsibilities as LUCY'S father seriously. There is also KEVIN'S former wife, JANA. Remember, when Kevin went to make arrangements for Jana's memorial service, Kevin was astonished when he discovered that some of Jana's distant relatives had ALREADY claimed the body!

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2012 -- SUMMARY OF THE MONTH'S EVENTS
Y&R -- The Good News is that Maria A. Bell has reportedly been let go in a SURPRISE move by SONY. Unfortunately, the very, very, very bad, DISASTROUS news for Y&R viewers is that JILL FARREN PHELPS will be taking BELL'S place! Having watched the way in which JFP single-handedly destroyed both OLTL and GH - we can only observe that it appears that SONY is merely jumping from the frying pan and into the fire with this move. Of course, another possibility is that SONY has decided that the time has come for SONY to get out of the SOAP business - and head honchos believe that JFP will be able to drive away enough viewers so that SONY can cancel Y&R without worrying too much about an embarrassing backlash from viewers. -- Early reports are that JFP will most likely immediately fire Genie Francis, Stephen Nichols, Darnell Williams, Julia Pace Mitchell and Debbi Morgan. Veteran performers who will be immediately hustled off to the back burner will be Doug Davidson, Peter Bergman, Tracey Bregman, Melody Thomas Scott, Eric Braeden and Jeanne Cooper. Viewers will begin seeing more of Lily and Cane and Phyllis. JOSHUA MORROW has stated that his opinion is that PHYLLIS and NICK will eventually reconcile.

NEWMAN RANCH TO BE REBUILT?
Y&R -- Latest report is that Y&R's new writers have decided that the Newman Ranch will be rebuilt after all. Initial reports were that Nikki and Victor would just move into a Penthouse apartment, and ignore the task of rebuilding the Ranch.

JILL'S RETURN -- There are now reports that there are STILL plans for JESS WALTON to return to Genoa City as JILL, some time AFTER OCTOBER 5. However, there has not yet been any word as to whether or not TRISTAN ROGERS will also be returning as COLIN when JILL returns to Genoa City - as had been originally planned. JESS WALTON is scheduled to be involved in a story which will include a four-to-six week return for WALTON.

ANOTHER FRIEND OF JILL SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE IN GENOA CITY -- Latest word is that IGNACIO SERRICCHIO will soon be arriving in town and will debut as a character named ALEX. Alex will be a streetwise undercover police officer who arrives in Genoa City after covering himself with accolades while working in New York City. Reportedly, Alex will arrive in Genoa City, harboring a "big secret." SERRICCHIO actually MIGHT be able to act. At least, he was nominated for an Emmy award for his performance as DIEGO ALCAZAR, the long-lost son of crime lord LORENZO ALCAZAR - on General Hospital, of course. Which was helmed by JILL FARREN PHELPS during the time that SERRICCHIO appeared as Diego Alcazar. SERRICCHIO is scheduled to begin work in late October and will be seen on screen by early DECEMBER.

TWO NEW MODELS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE IN GENOA CITY -- Word is that TIIC have hired two new models REDARIC WILLIAMS will be debuting in the role of TYLER DOUGLAS. Early reports were that Tyler Douglas would debut as the son of Sarge's deceased brother. Reportedly, WILLIAMS' S audition included scenes between TYLER and LILY, indicating that, by the time that TYLER arrives in town, Lily will be working at Jabot and that the Douglas character will be assigned to work with Lily. The other model coming to town is LAMON ARCHEY. ARCHEY'S character's name is currently being described as "Mason." The two new models will begin hanging out at The Athletic Club and Crimson Lights some time in November. No word yet as to whether or not either of these two new additions have ever exhibited any acting skills.

ABOUT THE AUTUMN SOLARIS Y&R VIDEO CLIPS BOARD:
Autumn Solaris is apparently no longer posting video clips of the Young and Restless Canadian episodes. However, there ARE still Canadian viewers who have been posting video clips of the Young and Restless Canadian episodes at You Tube. However, they have kindly asked everyone NOT to post any links to their board in the hope that they will be able to keep their board open a little longer. HOWEVER, if you google AtkinsonM2 You Tube - you will most likely find it quickly enough.
