Young and the Restless Message Board
The way Fen is acting seems forced!

Michael acted like that back then b/c of the circumstances/situations that were going on back then. IMO, he wasn't born a psycho so he shouldn't be worried that Fen would be like he was yet Phelps (b**ch) seems to be heading that way.
Are we supposed to swallow that Fen has some inbred rage b/c Michael had it and Kevin had it (b/c of "Terrible Tom?") That this "rage" just boiled up from nowhere?
Okay, Fen's pissed @ Jamie for supposedly taking Summer's affections. Fen realized that Summer was just using him when it suited her and then ignored him when she didn't need him so he washed his hands of her. Good for him I thought. IMO, Summer is a tease and a user.
So, is Fen's "rage" at Jamie b/c he thinks he's stealing his place in Michael & Lauren's heart? THAT'S RIDICULOUS! Fen knows how much his parents love him and has no reason to be threatened by Jamie!
Jamie is just a kid who needs a bit of direction and Fen's making it like he's trying to steal his life. Jamie didn't ask to come live with Michael & Lauren, they offered b/c they wanted to help him. Fen saw this as a threat, which is ridiculous!
Now, we're supposed to believe that Fen's "rage" caused him to nearly kill Jamie?
This whole storyline is stupid. But, it's no surprise to me with Phelps at the helm now. She systematically butchered GH but thankfully Carvalarti has done a masterful job resurrecting the best of GH but I digress...
Phelps has already begun to kill this show. There was no Christmas eppy and with Jack being addicted to pills and the guilt he's feeling over the death of that hooker/Congressman's daughter, he was the perfect candidate for the usual Christmas eppy. Billy's life turned around after he was the one involved in one and so did Michael, it was perfect but obviously Phelps didn't see it that way.
Anyway, I'm hoping this whole "Fen has rage like Michael did" story goes away soon. Obviously, Phelps didn't know what to do with the character and decided on this lame storyline.
The kid who plays Fen isn't a great actor IMO but I think if he's given the right material, he could grow. And acting along with Christian LeBlanc and Tracey E. Bergman, he's bound to pick up a few tips.
Who else really dislikes the "rage" direction Fen is going?
