Great introduction by Melody Thomas Scott. Congrats to her for being on Y&R for 34 years. Doug Davidson(Paul) and Melody looked so young in their cult storyline. I laughed when she said they originally wanted Nikki to be a mug wrestler. And it was great seeing the old flashbacks of Nikki as a stripper and meeting Victor(Howard Hughes). Definately another version of my Fair lady. She had no idea at the time, they would be a super couple and talked about their elegant 1st wedding. We get flashbacks to her fascinating drinking story when married to Jack. She notes that Nikki has never liked Ashley and Katherine is really her only friend. Remarking how Sharon and her always enjoyed working together. Classic slap scenes. Loves Josh/Amelia as he own. She gets very emotional The ranch was her other home, her heart, hard when it burned down and took a few trinkets. Like Melody, I still wish Bill was still here. Excellent analysis of her character by MTS.
Welcome back after the long weekend. Hope it was a good one. Well, we got a short week due to NCAA march Madness. So let's make the most of it. Here we go with Monday.
Sony recap here
And welcome back, Eileen Davidson, to the show. It's good to have her back for the 40th Anniversary, even though it's only for a few episodes. She is amazing as easily slips into the role of Ashley again. I have heard she has been doing great work as Kristen on Days. It was a nice happy surprise for Jack to see Ashley in his office. I was glad that Jack apologized for his behavior toward Ashley. But sheesh, I thought she forgive him by now. I'm glad she told him, that it took courage to walk away from Newman. But I don't blame Ashley for being worried that Jack is rushing things with Phyllis, by going to Istabul. Ashley admits the Phyllis, that she does. She points out it too early in his recovery. Phyllis and Jack object that it is romantic. Jack has done soul searching and believes he is going in the right direction. He goes handle a crisis and ladies don't want a fight. Ashley is so grateful toward Phyllis, but she doesn't believe her. Phyllis taunts her into into a confrontation. Ashley warns her not to push her! Phyllis retorts if she has something to say, say it to her face. She gives her heck, for finally coming to see Jack. Ashley asks, how selfish can one person be, going on this trip, when Jack is vulerable? Who sides are you on here? Ashley or Phyllis? Or neither!
Nick has to learn that he can't control Avery about her dangerous, no matter how hard he tries. We learn that Victor is in danger, as Wheeler basically put a hit on him with that guy, he hired.
Things are still rocky between Lauren/Michael. He compliments her beauty and her guilt can't stand out. She runs out on him, claiming she wants to wear something else to the wedding. Ouch!
I hope Victor is right, this will be last legal wedding for him and Nikki. But I laughed when Victor told Abby, that he knows what is important in life. Anyone really believes that? LOL. Abby is kind of cute of being Nikki/Victor's cheerleader lately.
It was nice Nikki flashing back to her first wedding to Victor. Enjoyed hearing the classic score. It was cute twist as Vicki and Abby didn't use the typical wedding traditions, because they didn't work. But did something new, fun, fuzzy and round! penny, fun negligee, fuzzy garter and last round enternity bracelet. Nikki was sweet hugging both lades, telling them, she is luckiest Mom and Stepmom in the world. Nikki notes, this "wacky" family has given her so incredible memories. Aint that the truth LOL. Abby had a negative attitude of marriage until now, since Victor/Nikki fight so hard for it(Really, they should turn her marriage with their record) Wonderful surprise of Billy bringing Vicki's son Reed as a ring bearer. Good man! LOL as Vicki tells Abby that this is why you get married. I hope she feels bad for doubting him earlier. But it was a happy reunion.
Both ER and MTS, play their characters if they are getting married for the first time. Classy of Victor to thank Billy for bringing Reed for the wedding. Good to see Eric Forrester, from B&B, attending the wedding. Summer just gushes over him. Cool that Eric designed Nikki's beautiful wedding dress. Victor is right Reed and Faith are adorable today. Flirting between Abby/Alex and a kiss. Nick looks over protective of his sister, then Avery tells him to butt out.
Eric praises Likey as the perfect couple as it makes Lauren uncomfortable. I liked how as Lauren and Michael comforting Eric over Stephanie. He calls her the love of her life, but doesn't need to tell them that. Yes, you do. He didn't see how guilty she looked.
Victor showed he put Nikki first telling Vicki that her health comes first over the wedding. Nikki struggled over the bracelet, but managed to do it. Nice father/son bonding moment before the wedding. It was elegant as Nikki walked down the stairs. She was treasuring the moment. Reed and summer were cute and adorable walking down the aisle together. Vicki looked lovely walking down the aisle. Nikki looked so beautiful as she joined her groom. Lovely heartfelt vows from Nikki, updating the crowd about yogi wedding ceremony. And that Victor and her belong together and walk life hand in hand in all eternity. And dedicates this poem to them. LOL as she pulled out her glasses and didn't need them for the first wedding. Lovely poem, she read. "I will love you forever" Victor says they have overcome all changes and nothing they can't overcome. She is his past, present, future. And cherish everyday and try to surprise her. That's a little summary, but very heartfelt as well. But danger is lurking as Nikki/Victor exchange rings and kiss, as Wheeler's guy waits.
So what did you like/dislike about today's episode? I would really love to hear from you! Any comment would be welcomed and greatly appreciated!
