Young and the Restless Message Board

It took place, last Saturday(April 26th) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at Women's Show.

Sorry for getting my report so late, but I finally got some time to write it down. I don't live in Calgary, but drove 2 1/2 hours to get there

My friend and I were a few minutes late but there was a big crowd there, when I finally arrived My friend, not a fan, went looking around the booths.
It was quite exciting to see Greg Rikaart and Michael Graziadei sitting down on the stage. There was a guy from one of local news stations, who interviewed them.

There was a Q&A going on and several lucky people got to hug and get pictures with Greg and Michael. I got a few pictures of them on the stage, very cool

So here is what happened to the best of my memory.

Michael and Greg are so hilarious, just to let you know. But they are also very serious about their work. I didn't met Thad Luckinbill, because he was arriving the next day.

Some interesting tidbits that I learned..........

It doesn't take the actors too long to learn their scripts. I think that Greg said it took some 20 minutes at times. Neither of them watch the show, too much time to commit too. But Greg does catch it on the TV at work, at times.

As often as he can, Greg bikes to work. We all laughed when he said that wearing spandex is best for biking. But he says it works. He also own a Hybrid. He is very involved in saving the environment by living green.

We were very lucky to see Michael plays his guitar. He is really good. Michael talked about meeting his girlfriend on the plane. She works for Air Canada. Greg is single. He has committments issues, he said. And we all laughed at that.

One question was asked if they watched the show, who would it be. Michael said, it would be with his Mom. Greg said he would watch it with Michael's Mom. LOL
Also Greg said he would like Kevin to date Phyllis. The news guy said again with the Mom. LOL
Michael made several jokes about Jeanne Cooper.

It was funny because some fans didn't know who she was. I had to tell them that was Katherine, then they clued in.

Some spoilers they told us was: Daniel does move in Amber. They have a couple night with Kevin and
Jana and play Pictionary. Jana tries to draw a picture of violence and Kevin doesn't get it. Jana worries that her and Kevin aren't in cosmic sync. Kevin just tells her that she needed to draw a gun LOL

Greg also said that Kevin walks onto Gloria/Alistair. He doesn't know if they are making love or not. But Kevin averts his eyes when seeing them. Jerry Douglas asked Greg if he had to look so disgusted. Greg smirked and said Yes, I do" We all really laughed right after he said that.

Greg talked about how a friend, he knew, got him a very smart part in the X-files movie. He felt his big break was on Dawson's Creek, playing David. Then Y&R casting director at the time, saw him and got him hired on the show.
Greg also thought if Kevin got together with Colleen, the story would come full circle. Michael said that Daniel would always love Lily.

Greg and Michael talked how Y&R is really flexible when they want to do other projects. Greg enjoys having a steady job with the show. One person asked Michael about that horrible blond hair, that he had. Micheal said it was that surfer movie that he did. He would never dye his hair blond, if it wasn't for that movie.

Once the Q&A session was over, I stood in line with the other fans to meet Greg and Michael. It was fun to get into a discussion with some of them about the show. I informed them about the stuff that I learned online. A few ladies and I agreed that we didn't like Sabrina, especially with Victor
Well, finally, I was up at the table. I was bit nervous, but managed kept my composure. Let me tell you, Greg and Michael are even better looking in person<g>

I shook Greg's hand and told it was a honor to meet him. I told him my favorite scenes was Kevin's suicide and the boxing. Greg lit up and said that he won a Emmy for suicide one. Of course, I knew that<g>. And I wished him good luck on the Emmys(he got nominated this week). Greg and Michael commented, that they were being announced that week. I got my signatures from Greg and Michael, very cool.
Then I met Michael. I told him that my uncle works for Air Canada. He joked maybe he and his girlfriend worked together. I joked back, maybe. Fun moment LOL

It was a such wonderful experience meeting Greg and Michael and I wanted to share it with all of you
