Sorry I was away for so long - my computer crashed and the two or three days they said it would take to repair it turned into more like two or three weeks.

Gloria remains skeptical when Jeffrey assures Gloria that he doesn't want to be with Jill because he loves Gloria. Leaping to the conclusion that Gloria's cool reception means that she is NOT interested in moving forward with their relationship, Jeffrey walks out. Paul overhears as Brad invites Heather out this weekend. Paul then asks Heather out to dinner but she turns him down. Later, Paul confides to Lauren that he is concerned about his daughter's future if Heather becomes involved in a serious relationship with Brad. Gloria barges in on Paul and Lauren's conversation and admits that she may have pushed Jeffrey too far this time. Learning about Gloria's latest dilemma, Lauren urges her mother-in-law to try just being honest. Later, Gloria meets with her lawyer and announces that she wants to give half of her money to charity. Meanwhile, as Jill secretly listens, Jeffrey instructs his attorney to file for a divorce from Gloria. Jeff then admits that he expects to receive half of everything which Gloria owns. Later, Jill and Nikki engage in a heated exchange about their differing visions for the future of Jabot. Taking advantage of Nikki's agitated mood, David arranges for Nikki to have a massage and then lies about going to a business meeting so that David can slip away to sit in on Brad's poker game by the time that the game gets under way. Noticing that Nikki is eating alone, Paul joins Nikki for dinner. Paul soon realizes that Nikki is unhappy and asks if it has to do with David. Nikki admits that she is worried that David may be gambling again. In Adam's hotel suite, as Adam's girlfriend, Skye, gets ready for tonight's poker game, Adam's comment about Skye's outfit causes Skye to guess that Adam has his eye on another woman -- and that the other woman is probably unavailable. When a columnist for Restless Style magazine can NOT finish her column for the next issue, Phyllis mentions to Nick that she is afraid they will end up spending their evening writing the missing column instead of enjoying their anniversary dinner. Later, when the lights go out in the office, Nick sends Phyllis to the printers for him and suggests they eat takeout at the office. When Phyllis returns, Nick surprises Phyllis when he introduces Trace Atkins, the singer from New Mexico who entertained them at the roadhouse when they were married there. Nick later confides he is beginning to recover some of his lost memories. Although David arrives late for the poker game at Brad's, Brad makes sure that David is included in the game - and introduces Skye to the other players. As Skye drives the stakes higher and higher -- David is panic-stricken when he realizes that he is racking up some big-time losses.

Y&R -- Kevin and Colleen fret about the effect which Adrian's book could have on Jana and Brad; Lily learns she will be on the cover of Restless Style; Adam agrees when Victor invites Adam to live at the ranch; Nikki and David set a date for their wedding. "Lily and Cane Start Over" -- Word leaks out that Victor has asked Adam to live at the ranch; Kevin and Colleen compare notes about Adrian's book. -- "Jamie Whitfield Comes to Restless Style" -- Brad hires Michael to stop Adrian's book from being released; Amber is happy when Daniel moves in with her. BRIAN WILLS appears as himself when the artist turns up at Victor's new art gallery on May 7.

Y&R -- Jack makes a business decision and hires a consultant to shake things up at Restless Style. Jack's decision immediately causes conflict with Nick, Phyllis and Sharon. Nick learns the date of David and Nikki's wedding; Brad hires Michael to try to stop publication of Adrian's book; Daniel makes an important decision regarding his relationship with Amber. Later, Amber is thrilled when Daniel moves in with her. "Jamie Whitfield Comes to Restless Style" -- Word leaks out that Brad has hired Michael to stop Adrian's book from being released; Amber is happy when Daniel moves in with her. -- "Victor Asks Sabrina to Marry Him" -- Adrian learns his book project has been put on hold; Amber, Daniel, Kevin and Jana go on a double date. DIANE SALINGER appears as Jamie - an old pal of Jack's, who arrives on May 8 to consult for Restless Style magazine.

"Victor Asks Sabrina to Marry Him" -- Adrian begins to suspect WHY his book project was put on hold; Amber, Daniel, Kevin and Jana go on a double date.

Y&R -- Brad's plan to become Jill's right-hand man hits a snag. Worried about the affect of Adrian's book on her father and family, Colleen betrays Adrian. Kevin worries that the publication of Adrian's book will ruin Jana's life. Jack hires a consultant to shake things up at Restless Style, causing conflict with Nick, Phyllis and Sharon. Victoria's new job at Jabot surprises many, including Jill. Victor invites Adam to move into the Newman Ranch.

FRIDAY, MAY 9, 2008 -- SUMMARY OF THE WEEK'S EVENTS
YOUNG AND RESTLESS --David is stunned when Skye wins a huge $50,000 poker pot during Brad's private poker party. David becomes worried about not being able to cover his bets. Brad offers to front the money for David. Later, Brad pushes David to start paying back the money loaned to him. Esther inadvertently tells Gloria that Jeff is NOT hitting the sheets with Jill. Jill is pleased when she slip to Gloria the news that Jeff met with a divorce attorney. Following an argument with Victor about Adam's manipulative schemes, Victoria quits Newman Enterprises and takes a job at Jabot. Adam questions his character and the way he treated Victoria, but Victor assures Adam that Adam's mother, Hope, would not be disappointed with Adam -- OR his actions. As Victoria returns to the Newman building to pack up her office, Victor worries about Victoria's decision to jump ship. While Victoria is packing up her office, Nick stops by to visit his sister and is supporting when he learns about Victoria's decision. Later, Jill is impressed by some of the fresh ideas which Victoria brings with here to the Jabot boardroom. Privately, Victoria admits to herself that she is not as enthused about working for Jabot as she has pretended to be. In the meantime, Victor remains confident that his daughter will return to Newman - UNTIL Victor learns that Victoria is now working for Jabot. Unbeknownst to Victor, Adam continue to hint to Sabrina that Adam believes that Sabrina is just using Victor to further her own career. Later, however, Victor suggests that Adam should move into Victoria's old office. Although Adam hesitates, he finally makes the move. In spite of crossing swords with Sabrina, Adam quickly agrees when Victor asks Adam to come live at the ranch. Meanwhile, David is stunned when he learns that Victoria has joined Jabot. Although Nikki suspects that David HAS returned to gambling - David remains confident that he will be able to keep his Nikki from learning about David's clandestine poker game with Brad. However, David ALSO realizes that, with Victoria now working in the same office with Nikki, it will be even more difficult for David to keep his secrets from becoming public. However, when Nikki is impressed by a brilliant marketing strategy which David develops, Nikki surprises David by agreeing to set a wedding date. Although Nikki is making plans for a September or October wedding - David has visions of tying the knot much earlier than that. After Nikki and David book the Colonnade Room for their wedding, they decide on an August wedding date. However, David still has visions of making it down the aisle MJUCH sooner. Colleen tells Kevin about Adrian's book and that she told Adrian everything about her dad's past — including Jana's involvement. Colleen tells Adrian that she was wrong to tell him everything about her father's past and that he should NOT publish the book. Adrian learns that his book tour has been cancelled and the book put "on hold." When Adrian blames Colleen for her father's actions, Colleen announces to Adrian that she is going to Shanghai - and will be away for a while. Meanwhile, Sabrina is thrilled when Victor presents Sabrina with the first Barbie doll which came out on the market in 1959. This is an item which Sabrina remembers that her mother had and which Sabrina always wanted to have when she was a child. Sabrina's holiday mood is dampened, however, when she learns that Adam will soon be moving into the ranch. Although Sabrina is NOT thrilled at the prospect of Adam taking up residence at the ranch, Sabrina still assures Victor that she does NOT have a problem with Victor's plans for his son. However, when Adam arrives to move in at the ranch, Sabrina and Adam immediately cross swords again. While Sabrina is still stewing about her latest confrontation with Adam, Victor stuns Sabrina when he suddenly asks Sabrina to marry him!

Y&R -- TAMMIN SURSOK will be absent following a major tiff between Adrian and Colleen about Adrian's book. Colleen will leave on a trip to Shanghai, beginning May 12, SURSOK will be absent for about six weeks. Colleen's absence will allow SURSOK to film a movie. Some are speculating that it will be a new actress who steps into the role when Coleen returns in six weeks. Show bigwigs are, as always, remaining mum about any possible personnel changes within the cast.

Y&R -- Now that TAMMY LAUREN has officially announced that she IS on the way out at Y&R - there has been speculation that Paul's daughter, Heather, may ALSO be on the way out.

TAMMY LAUREN has announced on her official web site that she does NOT plan
to sign a new contract to remain with Young and Restless as Detective

MARIA ARENA BELL has been named as Y&R's new head writer. JOSH GRIFFITH
will remain as the show's executive producer. BOTH S.O. Weekly AND TV
GUIDE have posted articles stating that LYNN MARIE LATHAM will NOT be
returning to YOUNG AND RESTLESS now that the Writers' Strike is
concluded. S.O.Weekly is ALSO reporting that Latham's husband and son will
also NOT be returning to work, now that the strike has ended. Insiders
report that, when Latham went on the picket line as a writer, she ALSO
refused to continue to serve as Y&R's executive producer, which forced Y&R
to bring in someone from Sony to co-pilot with JOSH GRIFFITH. GRIFFITH
has also recently been named as Y&R's head writer. MARIA ARENA BELL has
recently been named as Y&R's new head writer. JOSH GRIFFITH will take
