Young and the Restless Message Board

NOTE: I posted a portion of this post a little lower down on the board but then my computer froze and by the time I got back on, I could no longer edit the post because it had been longer than 30 minutes. So, I’m reposting it in its entirety and I am sorry for the duplicate posts.

Does anyone see how Adam can be redeemed in any way after all that he has done??

Let’s just recap Adam’s list of horrors since arriving in Genoa City:

-With his newly-discovered father, Victor Newman presumed dead. Victor’s will stipulated that Adam, NOT Nick and/or Victoria, would take over as CEO of Newman Enterprises. His first order of business was to fire Nick, Victoria and Neil. Then, he renamed the popular “Beauty of Nature” cosmetic line to “Newman: Infinity” (I think that’s right but I’m not 100% sure) and basically became the boss EVERY employee DREADS!

-When Victor turned up alive and well, he punished Adam for his tyrannical behavior by disowning him. Feeling betrayed, Adam (with Jack`s help) forged a diary that Victor allegedly wrote confessing to the murder of the man responsible for Victor`s wife Sabrina`s death. Victor was then arrested for murder.
- Adam and Jack`s forged diary was found out and Adam went to prison. Heather broke up with him and he vowed revenge against daddy Victor. Around this time, Adam seemed to have trouble seeing.
- After some time, Victor took pity on Adam and arranged to have Adam released from prison and instead be under house arrest at the ranch with an ankle monitor to make sure he didn`t leave the grounds. Yet, we learn later that Adam has found a way to remove the ankle monitor without it going off allowing to go wherever he pleases.
- We learned that Adam seemed to be going blind like his mother Hope. But, it was revealed that Adam was injecting some type of solution into his eyes to make it seem as if he was going blind but unfortunately for Adam, his actions caused to blind for real!!
- Adam learned Ashley was pregnant with Victor`s baby and decided to focus his vengeance on Ashley. He began gaslighting her into thinking Victor`s dead wife, Sabrina was STILL alive and warning her to stay away from Victor. He continued tormenting Ashley by having her unknowingly wear the dress Sabrina wore the night she died and he even sent the baby’s head from the statue Victor had erected of Sabrina on the ranch sent to Ashley and successfully framed longtime maid Estella for these crimes. Nikki DIDN’T believe Estella would commit such acts and was suspicious of Adam, but then just suddenly forgot about it! Adam then scared Ashley SO bad that she fell down the stairs and miscarried the baby. But, Adam convinced Ashley that it was only a dream! Then, he had Dr, Taylor, a doctor he is blackmailing, examine Ashley and say the baby was fine. Ashley then changed her doctor to Dr. Taylor from Dr. Olivia Winters.
- Heather resumes their relationship and Adam tries to con her into getting him released from house arrest out of pity because he is going blind but she fails. Adam, then seduces his gay lawyer friend Rafe into trying to get him released.
- Then, when Ashley went out for a drive in one of Victor’s cars to “clear her head” following another dream about Sabrina, she thought she hit a VERY MUCH ALIVE Sabrina but it really was Nikki (though it now seems that it wasn’t Nikki since Paul just found her on sabbatical at a spa) So, who did Ashley actually hit? Anyway, Adam fueled Ashley’s belief that she HAD hit Sabrina since the car’s bumper was smashed in.
- Adam then uses Mary Jane, who has been lurking around the ranch, and asks to run by the window so Ashley thinks its Sabrina.
- Victor showed Ashley numerous newspaper clippings and papers confirming that Sabrina was indeed DEAD and Ashley FINALLY seemed to believe it.

I might have gotten the chronology wrong of when Adam committed each act or I might have left out something. If so, please feel free to post in a reply to this post.

Well, after ALL of this, Ashley STILL sees Adam as a friend and I read in a soap mag that while Ashley is at the hospital waiting on news of Colleen and Victor she thinks she is going into labor, Adam drugs her so she passes out, he learns that Sharon is also at the hospital going into early labor, Sharon has some problems delivering but gives birth to a healthy baby girl but then blacks out. Adam then somehow takes Sharon’s baby and gives it to Ashley after he tells her that she passed out during labor.

Now, how can a character be this heartless and vicious and still NOT have been found out?? It’s ludicrous!!

Does anyone think Adam can be redeemed? If so, HOW??
