Alicia Minshew (Kendall) and Thorsten Kaye (Zach) have loads of fun out of character when they have to be in character in love/seduction scenes. Kaye, ever the prankster, will whisper something X-ratededly naughty in Minshew’s ear and she’ll roar with laughter.
Minshew and TPTB are discussing her contract renewal – it’s due to expire in a few months. Looks like they are working hard for both parties to get what they want.
The Nautica Malibu Triathlon will play host to a number of celebrities, athletes and amateur athletes, including Alec Musser (ex-Del II), Winsor Harmon (ex-Del; Thorne, B&B) and Emily Warfield (ex-nurse, DOOL), come September 14. They’ll compete in a triathlon featuring swimming half a mile in the Pacific ocean, bicycling 18 miles as well as jogging four along the West coast of California. Funds raised from this triathlon will benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and its Pediatric Cancer Research Program.
Aidan Turner (Aiden) has checked out some of British designer Ben Sherman’s summer fashions for men, and really took a liking to his shirts. The shirts would, Turner said, be awesome for his character to wear on the show. He might hold some sway with the wardrobe department on this score. “We get to have a little bit of input – if you’re nice and the designers like you, they throw you a freakin’ bone.” –Soap Opera Digest, August 12, 2008
Hard-luck Nia is a new character, maybe fringe at the start, in the casting books.
Billy Miller (ex-Richie) accepted the recast Y&R role of Billy Abbott – the one GH’s Josh Duhon (soon-to-be-ex-Logan) turned down.
Gossip for the week of 11-Aug-2008
A major actor with the show might decide to move on with the coming of the new year.
Miley Cyrus wants to step out with Jesse McCartney (ex-JR), but daddy Billy Ray won’t allow it. McCartney – a huge hit singing sensation who’s lent his voice to several animated flicks – suggested Billy Ray put a chaperone on the case for a date.
