Kelly Ripa (Hayley) and husband Mark Consuelos (Mateo) will come back on AMC in January, in time for the soap’s 40th anniversary. They’ll appear for two shows. Consuelos Twittered his confirmation.
Denise Vasi (Randi) loves to mop and cook, because these household tasks provide soothing meditative relaxation for her. For Daniel Kennedy (Petey), it’s doing the dishes with his yellow rubber gloves on (which he does with his blinds drawn). Melissa Claire Egan (Annie) finds doing the laundry kind of relaxing. Josh Duhamel (Leo) might even make a rare appearance on AMC for the January 40th anniversary episode(s).
ABC Daytime president Brian Frons and head writer Charles Pratt Jr. love them some Rebecca Budig (Greenlee). Maybe enough to pay her a million dollars just for a year’s work when she was on AMC last? And, move from NYC all the way to L.A. just for her convenience? Pratt even said that Budig was his favorite in a recent Soap Opera Digest article. –The Suds Report by Nelson Branco, October 16, 2009
