Forty-two-year-old Russian actor Ilia Volok takes on a recurring, new character known as Russian mobster Karpov, as of July 18th. Karpov (Y&R, ER, Power Rangers: Wildforce, Air Force One, Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, Charlie Wilson’s War, The Soloist) will try to drag Sonny back into the mob world.
Rick (Ric) Hearst’s mother, Nonna, has opened up her own catering business. She is known for her delicious Italian food, served at several of the actor’s GH Fan Club Weekend events in the past. Menu items vary from appetizers (Crostini, Caprese) and salads (Caesar, Greek, Pasta), to pastas (Lasagna Rolls, Penne Alla Vodka, Rigatoni Ragu), greens (Eggplant Parmigiano, Eggplant Rolletini, Grilled Asparagus), meats (Chicken Marsala, Beef Brisket, Baked Salmon) and desserts (Espresso Brownies, Ricotta Cheesecake, Lemoncello Cheesecake Squares, Chocolate Almond Torte). There are even boxed lunches for the offering.They cater to the Santa Clarita Valley and L.A. areas.
Ingo Rademacher (Jax) and fiancée Ehiku only know that their firstborn baby will arrive in this world (in paradise, Oahu specifically) around the middle of July. Other than that, they have chosen not to know whether the baby will be a boy or a girl; the doctors don’t even know that. The surprise of the gender is one of many things they’re eagerly awaiting. Normally, Rademacher isn’t one to attend many soap events, but in the case of the Daytime Emmys, he and Ehiku almost went, because of her interest. “Usually, I’ve been in Hawaii every time the Emmys have been on and she’s never been to one of those events,” Rademacher explained. “It would have been fun, but it was just too close. Selected viewers to Cindi Rinehart’s Northwest Afternoon submitted an idea that has wings. Claudia is Spinelli’s bio-mom. The dad could be Trevor. The consummation may not have been consensual.
Will Sam cross over to GH: NS to reprise Brenda, so to speak, and take up with Jagger for the summer? Will a new love attract her interest while Lucky saves Elizabeth from another mess?
To hear Greg Vaughan (Lucky) tell some fans recently, the Lucky and Sam pairing is officially a big, fat GO.
Dr. Matt Hunter takes over where Dr. Ian Devlin left off, shifting the late doctor’s accounts and running drugs on the black market. The drug story comes back and plays out at Nikolas’ free clinic.
Two potentially powerful blind items came from Ravenbeauty’s June 14th update. She doesn’t name names or even the soap opera show in question for the first one, but supposedly the return of an actress did not sit well with another, “leaving cast and crew to try and keep things peaceful. It's not who most of you will think it is. There is more than one actress who has made a return to a daytime soap. In fact quite a few to be exact.”
Another blind item, however, is hinted strongly as GH-related. To me, it sounds like Brenda’s Vanessa Marcil will come back short-term, but a female cast member isn’t digging this at all. “Seems one actress feels there can only be one sheriff in town! This one will stir the pot in a major way when it's announced that she's coming back (again short term only). They tried to get her for a longer period of time but she won't commit to that. Let's just say that things won't be so ‘sonny’ when she returns.”
Ingo Rademacher (Jax) shot down rumors that he’ll leave GH once more. I’ve heard that before.
(Man, the following SPUMORS are boring.) Claudia sets Jason up as the murderer of Logan. She and her brother Johnny leave Logan’s body at Nikolas’s free clinic, she does it because he’s willing to take the fall for Lulu having —Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
Jason and Robin revisit what they once had. It doesn’t get far but far enough for Elizabeth to misunderstand—Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
