Not sure why TPTB went with Lexi Ainsworth (Kristina) over the most recent, 2012 recast, Lindsey Morgan? This past week showed why: Instant emotional connection, baby. Ainsworth played Sonny and Alexis’s grown-up daughter first and most memorably. She was so obviously welcomed back on-screen as the other actors’ faces lit up, from Maurice Benard (Sonny) and Laura Wright (Carly), to Chad Duell (Michael). Ainsworth herself told Soap Opera Digest that she couldn’t believe it when TPTB reached out to her for a return. She’s happy to be back. And the fans, they have been a welcoming bonus: “I'm pretty overwhelmed by the amount of love they show me. It's so heartwarming.” The interview is in the latest issue of SOD on newsstands now.
Gossip for the week of 21-Sep-2015
That black actor who shot sparks with a certain leading GH actress in a screen test? He could be Hiram A. Murray, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry’s September 18th casting spoiler — officially unconfirmed. Murray is a former Marine and cop who previously appeared on GH as an unnamed walk-on — a U.S. Marshal coming to remove Avery from Sonny’s custody for Michael. Celeb Dirty Laundry’s Stormy Elizabeth wrote that they noticed Murray up on the September 25th episode on the IMDB, maybe a sign that he screen-tested for another role or is returning as a U.S. Marshal. Rumors place the new guy as the new D.A. since Ric gets fired this week, maybe a part of the infiltrating mob, Valerie’s dad, or even a recast Shawn.
Forget Lulu, Dillon. How about Maxie? It may very well happen, if you believe regular DD insider Trixie. She left a few more rumors on September 19th, which were re-posted by SoapZone’s Lynx: Paul is the new mob boss who tried to kill Sonny, and does kill Kyle Sloane… But everyone thinks Carlos was behind the hit... Carlos was kept alive by Paul’s people, according to Ava… Paul’s gunning for Anna next, using Nathan as a key source of info, and Anna will work with Sam in the P.I. business… “Sabrina is pregnant.”
