Robin Strasser (Dorian) was touched by Nathan Fillion’s (ex-Joey) kind words of praise for her in a recent interview for Castle—an ABC renewed primetime hit. Fillion had said that she taught him so much and was very mentoring of him. In return, Strasser had some words of praise of her own for Fillion, via TV Guide Canada: “You know one of the things I adored about him was his timeless and classic style, which reminded me of all my favorite stars from films of the '30s and '40s. When he left to try out his 'luck' in Hollywood, I threw him a goodbye party at my home. I felt we were losing a gigantic talent, and I was right. Look at him now. And he's aged into such a handsome man… ABC calls us veteran actors legacy characters. When I hear a young actor like Nathan say working with me [had] a positive impact – that's the legacy I most want to leave behind.” –SoapNet
Erin Torpey (ex-Jessica) went and got herself married to a dude named Hamilton recently. They married on the Malibu beach shores with a handful of their nearest and dearest loved ones, then enjoyed a classy meal on the Malibu Beach Inn terrace. The married couple treated the guests and the vendors very well. The photographer – check out the wonderful images here – marveled that he and Adi received “the royal dinner treatment… one of the best ever vendor, but non-vendor meals… eaten in 8 years of shooting weddings.”
Gossip for the week of 01-Jun-2009
Michael and Marcie learn of her miracle pregnancy. They leave to start a new life elsewhere, when Michael is promoted and Marcie receives another book deal. Starr changes her mind about her and Cole’s baby, Hope. The young couple set up a family in Cole’s new lofty digs.
Both Kristen Alderson (Starr) and Brandon Buddy (Cole) didn’t think they were going anywhere anytime soon, in reaction to the rumors that they were. Alderson did not hide the fact that she is interested in doing outside projects, but her home will always remain OLTL. Buddy too.
Tea still has one secret left to tell. Is it, a) She gave birth to her and Todd’s baby on the island and gave it up for adoption?, b) She is related to Blair somehow?, or c) Both?
Since when is being proud of the work you did this past year equal to bragging on yourself and sour grapes because you didn’t get recognition with a Daytime Emmy nomination? Some fans think so lowly of Kristen Alderson (Starr). But I don’t. Btw, when did we become so self-entitled to razz on soap actors like we’re their kin?
