News for the week of 24-Dec-2012

by Carol Banks Weber

Prospect Park — the production company (Royal Pains, USA) — worked out amenable deals with unions SAG-AFTRA and DGA to enable the returns of OLTL and AMC. If this comes to fruition, these two previously canceled ABC Daytime shows could get a web series and/or cable treatment. Deadline.com’s Nellie Andreeva on December 17th further reported that Prospect Park may have even started talks with some actors.

If Prospect Park really does plan on reviving OLTL — online and/or in cable — Robert S. Woods (ex-Bo) has yet to hear about it directly from them. But he has heard about the rumors. He suggested in a Showbiz 411 article by Roger Friedman that maybe PP execs can’t find him for those talks.

Chris Evans (Captain America, The Avengers) is allegedly trying to help his younger brother Scott (ex-Fish) get drug rehab help, according to Michael Glynn of the National Enquirer. He has his work cut out, since Scott is reportedly not at all interested in even admitting this is a problem for rehab, according to a source: “Scott swears he doesn’t have a drug problem. But Chris doesn’t want to take any chances. He thinks it would be best if Scott got treatment.”
