News for the week of 04-Nov-2013
by Carol Banks Weber
Believe her, Amelia Heinle (Victoria) has heard about her bedhead, from fans and even her own mother. She told Soap Opera Digest that her mom asked, “Do you even have a hairbrush?” Now that’s how you know it’s bad. But Heinle referenced Sex & The City’s Carrie for her flyaway hairstyle. “I like to pull it back and not worry about it, but believe me, I've gotten a lot of crap for my hair.” More in the November 11, 2013 edition in newsstands.
In last week’s Michael Faiman interview, Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) endorsed controversial executive producer Jill Farren Phelps as someone who’s got her stuff together, knows what she’s doing, and keeps on top of filming. Hendrickson revealed that Phelps was on hand the entire long, late night filming the on-location scene of Delia’s fatal hit ‘n run, which the actress said was admirable and much appreciated in an EP.
Count Cynthia Watros (Kelly; ex-Annie, GL; Lost) as another fan of JFP’s. She worked with the EP over at GL before. She also has much admiration for Y&R’s rich, in-depth characters. Once she started filming on-set, she also immediately took to co-star Miller as “so gracious and lovely and welcoming,” and accommodating. “He was very sweet to me and goes, ‘Can I help you?’ I think I know my way now, but he’s lovely and he’s so good. And it’s so fun to act with him.” Even though it’s been ages since she was last on GL, Watros remembered enough of soap acting to be able to go with the flow and not get too intimidated by the faster pace. Bonus: Watros is stoked to stay as long as she can. She already told JFP this. –October 31st Soap Opera Network interview by Kambra Clifford
Cynthia Watros (Kelly; ex-Annie, GL) will share the screen with Billy Miller (Billy) starting November 15 when the two meet at an AA meeting and bond over the loss of their children to freak car accidents.
Sean Carrigan (Stitch) scored a November 13th Modern Family guest appearance. It’s one of his favorite TV shows, extra score.

Jillian Bowe of Daytime Confidential reported November 1 that Y&R could get a three-year pick-up. The show’s been hitting all cylinders since killing off Chloe and Billy’s child, Delia. If it bleeds, it leads…
