News for the week of 12-Jan-2015

by Carol Banks Weber

Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) landed a role on Youthful Daze, a series on the Webisodes Network. She will play conniving Nicole Wallace, mother of Randy Milhouse, a lead (and the resident villain) on the webisode. The web series airs online on Sundays at 6 p.m. Other soap stars have been on this series, including GH’s Bryan Craig (Morgan).

Tristan Rogers (Colin) tweets again after the holiday break — and everyone starts buzzing about a GH return as Robert Scorpio. But maybe he’s just talking about more storyline at Y&R. On January 4, Rogers tweeted he’s “at Y&R for another year. Doesn’t mean I won’t do other stuff. But my mind is there and I want to make it prominent in daytime.”

Beau Kazer (Brock) passed away December 30 at the age of 63.

I missed this Twitter firestorm, but apparently fans flamed the drama last week by getting into an argument over their favorite actors Eric Braeden (Victor) v. Sharon Case (Sharon). Case refused to respond to any of the exchanges. But Braeden did, by insisting he never had anyone fired on the show. It started over Braeden’s supposedly RTing a fan’s tweet that Case was unprofessional to him, and went downhill from there. Read The Inquisitr’s January 7th rumor-report and Christina Williams’ January 6th Examiner wrap-up for details.
