One Life to Live Update for Thursday, 30-May-2002

Niki is shocked by Gabrielle's declaration that she is after Bo! Playing the role of the snobby Victoria, Niki pretends to be appalled by Gabrielle's accusation. She trades insults with Gabrielle and finally Gabrielle tells her, she knows she is right about her suspicions. Then Niki being Niki, propositions Gabrielle with a job offer at the Banner. After all she tells Gabby, your unemployed at the moment anyway. Niki offers her the Style Editor Position at the Banner, and she also offers to double what Todd was paying her.

Gabrielle is speechless. She then asks Viki/Niki, "What's the catch?" Niki playing like she is offended, denies there is any catch. Gabrielle presses her further, and Niki finally tells her, well there is one, teeny, tiny, little thing she has to do: move out of Bo's apartment, and have nothing more to do with him! Gabrielle thinks she is hallucinating. She tells Viki/Niki that she finds her proposition very insulting. She turns Viki down and walks out. Niki murmurs to herself that she'll be back and then she will have Bo all to herself!

Chad finishes putting things in the picnic basket for Jen. Al walks in and overhears them chatting, and then hears Jen say something about a third wheel. Thinking that she is talking about him, he goes on the defensive as she turns around and sees him standing there. Jen finally convinces him that he isn't the third wheel, and she isn't worried about him, it's Natalie. Al suggests they get someone else for Natalie to care about. Jen leaves to go back to the rock quarry.

Max comes storming in the door, and tells Roxy their marriage is over! While ranting on and on at him, and in her response to Max, she thinks he has bribed a judge somewhere. Max asks her to shut up long enough so that he can finally ask her how much she wants and takes out his checkbook! Max insults her more.

While investigating a burglary at her home, Rae, Bo and Antonio survey the mess and the damage. Her doorbell rings. It is Keri. She just heard and rushed right over. Bo tells Rae he thinks he knows who did this, and Rae thinks it was Todd. Bo tells her there have been other incidents in her neighborhood, and all of her liquor is missing as well. He thinks it was some kids looking to have a good time.

Natalie is upset about Roxy and what she said to her, about no one loving her or wanting her. Christian tries to get her to open up to him. She tells him, she is a nobody; just like Roxy told her she was, and Natalie is feeling a bit sorry for herself. She tells Christian how much Roxy cared for Rex and not her. All she ever wanted was a hug from Roxy when she was little. Natalie tells Christian she can't understand why her own mother doesn't love or want her. Christian tries to comfort Natalie by telling her she cannot believe anything that comes out of Roxy's mouth. Then she starts worrying about losing Rex to Jessica. As he tries to reassure her, she says no one will ever love her. Christian tells her he knows lots of guys who would like to hang out with her. And just as he says this, she leans into him, puts her head on his shoulder, Jen walks into the top of the rock quarry behind them.

Al overhears Chad trying to make a date with some girl on the phone. They will be going to a concert with Jen and Christian. He gets turned down. Al suggests he call Natalie and ask her!

After she has changed into her standard Niki garb, Niki drinks a beer and savors every drop, because beer isn't something straight-laced Victoria would drink. She says Viki will have to take up drinking beer to please Bo. She begins to fantasize about him coming over to Llanfair, as she is all decked out in a peach colored negligee. She sashays down the stairs. She answers the door and 'lo and behold Bo is standing there. He tells her that Gabrielle has packed herself up, and is out of his apartment and his life! He then tells her they have wasted enough time, and says he wants her. Niki is overjoyed and they kiss passionately.

As Keri begins to start picking up the mess, Rae decides to stop her and says she has been meaning to clean out all her junk, so now is as good of time as any! In the mess, Keri finds a camera, and tells Rae she had one like it. Rae tells her to take it and gives it to her. As Rae looks over the mess she finds a brochure from Hawaii and crumples it up in her hands as she remembers something about it.

As they proceed to insult one another more, Max wants to know what his freedom is going to cost him. They spout off numbers and finally he tells her whatever she wants. Of course, Roxy, being in heat, thinks that means nothing else but sex! She tries to rip his jacket off and she is all over him. Max is freaked out and refuses to let her touch him, let alone come near him. He cannot stand her touching him. Roxy begs him to let her have him, let her stay, let her redecorate, let her throw parties, and Max tells her she is making him ill. Thoroughly annoyed at this point, Roxy storms out!

As Gabrielle is reading a copy of the Banner, Bo walks in and finds Gabrielle very upset about something. She tells him about "Viki's" offer, along with the strings that are attached to it! As Gabrielle begins to tell him about her encounter with "Viki," Bo walks out.

Jen finally lets them know she is standing there and tells Christian she has their food. Natalie turns to leave and Jen stops her. Jen wants to talk to her. Christian tells her he hasn't left yet, so he doesn't have the food from the diner. Jen tells him she will forgive him, if he will go to the car and get a blanket. As he leaves, Jen goes for the throat! She tells Natalie to stay away from Christian. She is sick of her always around him, always having her head on his shoulder, and proceeds to unload. Natalie tries to tell her that she and Christian are only friends, but Jen isn't buying it!


As Max contemplates changing the locks, while talking to a locksmith on the telephone, he remembers what Nora told him. He decides not to do anything. The phone rings. It's Chad at Break Bar. He tells Max he needs to get down there right away. Max asks him what the problem is, and Chad says, "Well, it's your wife!"

Al stops by to see his mum! As they trade war stories about what Max has done now, they agree on one thing and that is how horrible Roxy is, and how badly Max must be feeling right now. Al thinks it is his fault as well he should, and Gabrielle tells him she is proud of him and the way he handled the Vegas fiasco. She is proud that he is finally over Jen or at least willing to move on.

As Keri and Antonio pose for each other, he starts to take her picture and they realize there is still film in the camera. Keri says she will have it developed and surprise Rae with the pictures.

When Max finally arrives, Chad meets him outside. He tells Max she is in side, meaning Roxy, and when she is done in there she is threatening to come outside and start out there. Max walks in as Roxy is instructing some workers where to hang her new sign, Roxy's.

As Niki descends the stairs, decked out in her fantasy negligee attire, she gets down the bottom of the stairs and the doorbell rings. As she answers it, she feigns surprise that it is in fact Bo. She invites him in, and as he walks by, he tells her they have got a big problem.
