The focus of today's episode was Al's impromptu memorial service in Angel Square, Antonio's Preliminary hearing, and the Buchanan boys' marriages.
River and Adrianna met in Angel square and while listening to some old tapes of "The Voice of the Night" decided to hold a candle light memorial service for Al. Marci was ecstatic about this idea and it raised her spirits, since she was even more down today because Deak and Madison had been let go due to lack of evidence. Everyone showed up, including Nigel and Roxie, who had comforted Max for the entire day, and Luna, Max's former wife and angel, who assured him that Al was fine, that Max and Gabrielle had been good parents and that she would help him cross over.
David Vickers gave Kevin Buchanan a condom and told him to use it on his wife if he wanted her to stay alive. After a scuffle, he told Kevin that Kelly has a condition called Thrombophilia and could die if she gave birth. Shortly thereafter, Kelly took a pregnancy test and was disappointed that it was negative. But Kevin revealed that he knew her medical condition and assured her that they would adopt and their relationship would stay strong. He said she was more important to him than their having a baby together.
Antonio's preliminary hearing was about what we would expect. All witnesses against him alluded to his temper and the main witness, Jess, revealed that he had threatened Keri on previous occasions. Also, a paid witness said that Antonio had inquired about cutting brake lines prior to RJ and Keri's car accident. Of course, RJ paid this witness to lie. Colson told reporters that he intends to seek the death penalty.
Finally, Jen continues to become the minister's wife from hell. She came home wearing a bra, panties and a trench coat, in order to seduce Joey, who happened to be ministering to Kelly at the time. After an awkward moment when Kelly excused herself, Jen continued to pursue Joey, who explained that Al's memorial was that night and he was needed to comfort the participants. She got dressed and went with him, but said cryptically that she was going to have to create a life for herself. (Is being a call girl in her future?)
In scenes from next week, Jess encourages Antonio, who cautions that he may not win; Gabrielle and Max leave with Al's body for Argentina (Marci is shaken); and RJ continues his quest for revenge.
