Kevin goes to surprise Kelly, right before her date with Spencer. He enters her home and notices she is in the shower. WHen she sees him, she freaks.

Jessica, as Tess, wakes up in Nash's fold-out bed and is suprised to discover that he's reconsidered and let her sleep on the bed instead of on the floor.

Marcie informs Hayes Barber that John and Bo are closing in on the killer. Barber tells her that if that is the case, then they have a big problem

John informs Bo that he ran the grid on a guy named Ivan Potter. He says nobody has seen or heard from Ivan since he went to a plastic surgery clinic. He says it's very possible that this guy is somebody they see or know about. Bo asks if he's somebody whom Marcie knows.

Marcie tells Hayes that she wants more than anything to catch the person who is killing people and wonders why he does not. Rex comes by and overhears their discussion. He tells them he wants to know what is going on because his sister is missing. Marcie tells Hayes he only wants to sell books and Rex only wants to "play hero". Rex protests to Marcie that he did not write the text book on murder. He asks what her "sequel" will be. Will she call it "How to win friends and influence psychos"? Hayes listens to them arguing and remarks taht he did not know that they harbor such anger toward each other.

Nash throws tons of bills over Tess. He informs her that he got lucky in trading. She tells him that it's true that money can buy happiness. He tells her that he wants to find her an apartment because he's feeling generous today. She asks why she can't stay there. He asks if she wants to live with him. She says no. She does not want to shack up or commit.

Kelly gets shampoo in Kevin's eyes. He tells her he's in terrible pain. she gets him under the shower, fully clothed, to rinse out his eyes. ANd she asks him to tell her exactly what he's doing in her shower. He doesn't know exactly how to explain that. He discovers that she is using his shampoo. She admits that she misses how his pillow smelled when she would wake up. She makes a comment about how if he's stay on his side of the bed she might not remember it. He tells her if she gave him a chance, he'd never stay on his side of the bed again.

Nash asks Tess if she works. She tells him she's just finding herself and works as a writer. She gives him an attitude. ANd he tells her that he's getting tired of her attitude and the sexual frustration. He leaves and she realizes she's broke. So she gets on the phone, identifying herself as Jessica Buchanan and tells a financial agent that she needs money.

At the station, Bo asks John how a kid like Potter got the money to pay for plastic surgery. John inquires if somebody could have so much work done that nobody could even recognize them. Bo, then concludees that he will go and do a search on Potter's family. John says he hopes the murderer will reveal himself.

Marcie and Rex argue while Hayes Barber listens. SHe tells him he's an idiot. He tells her he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, which she concludes he said, not her. But he tells her at least he's not out to make a profit out of people getting killed, like her and her bottom-feeding agent. He wants to find his sister. Hayes Barber then gets on the phone as though he's come up with a "plan". Side note: someone could say that Marcie and Rex argue like a married couple. Do you think those two will have a thing? Highly unlikely, right? He only likes the hot little barbie dolls. ANd she doesn't care for him. They have nothing in common, personality wise, right? Oh, well. I guess only time will tell.

Jessica, as Tess, meets with a man who manages her money. He tells her that technically, she does not have control over it. But he thought she knew that.

John is on the computer getting a physical description on the killer.

Right then, we see Hayes Barber.

Kelly tells Kevin she did not know what he thought would happen. But he reminds her that there was a time when he'd be able to walk into her shower and she'd be happy to see him. He tells her he will leave but indicates they need to realize they still have feelings for each other. She then moves toward him and asks him to take off his clothes.

Jessica's "agent" explains to her that she will not have full control of all of the money until she is 30. Hearing that, "Tess" does not remember and is disappointed. She tries to charm him into disbursing a little cash. He takes a call and she makes a comment about "princess Jessica" cheating her out of the money until she is 30. Right then, Nash comes to talk to her. He apologizes for maybe being too hard on her when they last departed. He tells her that he's usually a pretty level-headed guy. But when he's around her, he does not have a clue as to what he's supposed to do or be. He admits that he worries about her and thinks about her. He thinks about what she wants and where she's going and how she drives him up a wall. The financial agent returns and calls her Jessica in front of Nash. Oh, hasn't he blown her cover right after she's told Nash taht Jessica was her deceased twin.

At the station, John's computer crashes right when he was ready to get a positive ID on the suspected murderer. He concludes to Bo that in order for this guy to have had such major reconstructive surgery, he must have really hated himself. Bo agrees taht they guy is very sick and dangerous and must believe he has a perfect disguise. John says if anything happens to Natalie, he will kill the dude himself.

Hayes gets into Marcie and Rex's argument. But they tell him to stay out of it. Rex tells Hayes the next time they want somebody to whine and suck the life out of the room, they will call him. He tells Hayes he makes him sick. Hearing that, Hayes tells Rex the last time somebody said something like that to him, they wound up dead.

After hearing the financial agent calling "Tess" Jessica, she explains to Nash that he's an airhead, has her confused with her deceased twin and is only good at number crunching. Nash does not question her about that and admits that he realizes that he's been pressuring her about being dishonest. But he realizes he's been doing the same thing. SHe asks if he's apologizing. He tells her that he knows he owes her an apology for assuming she needs to be rescued when he can see that she's very capable of taking care of herself. He tells her he's observed how boldly she can go through the streets of New York by herself without breaking a sweat. he admits that he's envious of her. The financial agent tells "Jessica" that she may call his secretary and get some money. Nash hears taht and concludes that she has money. He then invites her to have lunch with her and "go dutch". She tells him she thinks she'll let him get this one.

Kevin and Kelly get it on in the shower.

"Tess" and Nash sit down to eat and he orders some wine. He tells her a crust of bread and some fine wine is all he needs.

Kevin pours some champagne after his encounter with Kelly. He admits that he thinks about her when he's alone, late at night. They both reveal that they are meant for each other.

After hearing what Hayes said about somebody winding out dead, Rex asks him if that's a threat. Marcie tells him he's a pathetic, worthless loser. That obvious bruises his ego. He tells her he thought that Rex was the lowest on her list. But she reveals that she thinks way higher of Rex than of him. Rex also indicates that he thinks way higher of Marice than of him. Rex and Marcie join together in bashing Hayes Barber. He tells Marcie taht he knows she believes all he cares about is book sales and profits. But he also cares about friends. ANd he wishes he could be her friend. He leaves. Marcie asks Rex if he has a clue what just happened. Rex tells Marcie that she and Hayes are the same kind. They feed off of murders. Marcie slaps Rex.

Kevin and Kelly get it on again, in the bed.

"Tess" drinks red wine with Nash and asks him what "does it" for him besides red wine and her. He tells her that he knows that moeny will not make him happy. But he wants to be secure. He wants to work hard and appreciate waht he has. He also indicates taht he likes her and she brightened up his life. He tells her two weeks ago he had a plan and was putting it into action. But now he daydreams about how remembers his encounters with her. He tells her if she relied on her brains and personality as much as she does on her smoking body, she could be incredible. He then leaves. A strange woman overhaers and tells "Tess" that he is a keeper and she must hold onto that one.

Rex approaches Marcie again and apologizes for accusing her of being responsible for the murders. She tells him she appreciates his apology. He admits it's been a tough couple months with Jen and now with Natalie. She admits that she knows he's scared and so is she.

At the station, Bo suggests they get a sketch agent. John simulates the computer to identify the killer. It looks a little like our sicko friend, Hayes Barber.

Rex leaves the place where he was with marcie. Hayes is outside waiting for him. Rex tells him he's a freak. Hayes then attacks Rex and covers his mouth with a cloth that has chloraform and tells him it's time to die.
