One Life to Live Update for Tuesday, 2-Aug-2005

Kevin notices his keys are gone when he goes to see Asa. Little does he know that nut job Margaret has taken them. He looks all over for them but they are nowhere to be found. Just then, Kelly enters. He says he did not expect to see her. She tells him perhaps she owes him an apology. She admits she may have overreacted in questioning his motives for why he came to her home when she was in the shower the other day when they wound up getting it on. He admits to her that a motivating factor was her interest in Spencer. But he knows he cannot lose her. He asks her to marry him again.

Michael goes to the station and notices Hugh Hughes with Marcie. He seems jealous. But she indicates to Michael that Hugh is her friend and she indicates to Hugh that she and Michael are no longer dating.

Viki goes to Hayes Barber’s jail cell. She tells him she is a very powerful person in the area. She tells him she can make his prison stay easier for him if he can tell her where her daughter is. He keeps playing games with her and doesn’t answer the question. He goes on about how Natalie rocked herself to sleep and cried while being held captive. But he noticed Natalie never begged for her mommy. Viki looks at him with a sullen expression. He asks her why she cannot shed a tear for her daughter. She tells him she knows all about how sick he is and all about his history. She asks him who abused him when he was a child. Was it his father? She tells him again that he has a lot of incentive to tell her where her daughter is. He asks her what he will get in return if he tells her where she is.

Todd and Blair are putting plans into motion to set up their wedding. They go to a chapel. Knowing that this is not the first or even second time, they remember how many other weddings and preachers were there all those other times. Right behind the door, Margaret is wandering around. And she just happens to see them. She then knows she must make herself scarce as not to be seen by her “baby’s daddy”.

Adriana is ready to kiss Rex. But she stops herself. She still has feelings for Duke. And he still has feelings for Jen. Roxie comes by to see her son after his release from the hospital. She tells him that sicko Hayes will not get away with what he’s done to him. He reminds her they must get Natalie back. When she finds out he’s been seeing Adriana Kramer, Dorian’s daughter, she sounds like she is encouraging him to see more of her.

Right then, Adriana accidentally runs into Duke. She asks him to spend the day together. And once again, he is too busy working to get away. But he asks to take a rain check. She indicates that she misses him. And they arrange to have dinner together.

Ginger is staying with Starr and Jack while Todd and Blair are going around to plan their wedding.

Behind the door of the chapel where Todd and Blair are, Margaret tells her “baby” that having that woman (Blair) still alive was not what she wanted for “her little man”. She talks about how she did not plan on seeing “daddy” so soon before making all the arrangements. The priest comes out and asks if he can help her. She is startled and tells him she wants to talk to him about her baby.

Viki tells Hayes she wants her daughter back. And so she’s prepared to do whatever is necessary. Right then, Hugh Hughes enters and warns Viki that this man is the very last one she wants to be making a deal with. Hayes acts goofy and weird and Hugh urges Viki not to waste her time with this nut case. Hayes tells Viki that if she can arrange for all charges against him to be dropped, she can have her daughter back. Outside in the office, Marcie and Michael are concerned about how Viki and Hugh are managing to get through to Hayes.

Kevin and Kelly are kissing. But she stops him from taking it upstairs. She asks him to come up with any of the million reasons why they cannot. He tells her he cannot come up with anything. She admits she cannot either. And they go upstairs together.

Asa notices that that lunatic Margaret is gone. It looks like she’s taken his car. He then asks himself where he’d go if he were a crazy lady.

Right then, Margaret talks to the priest about her pregnancy. When he asks about her baby’s father, she “explains” that they’ve had a “bit of a falling out”. But she believes he will be there soon. She has a “vision” of baptizing her child with Todd. She happily announces Viki and Kevin as her child’s Godparents. Kevin graciously asks her to come back and work for him. And Todd is her loving husband. She actually believes that this could happen.

Right then, Todd, Blair, the kids and Ginger are having a picnic together. Ginger then runs into Adrian on a park bench. She seems to assume that Adriana has Duke on the brain. Adrian admits that she is thinking about a “friend” who just got out of the hospital. She reveals his name is Rex Balsom. Ginger remembers her encounter with Rex where he got very angry with her for making light of what Colson did to Jen.

Right then, Jack notices he’s lost his frog. He tells his parents it’s very important that somebody finds the frog since that frog was the only way he could talk to daddy when he was gone. Todd then gets up to look for his son’s frog. But it looks like he may regret doing that.

Hugh tells Viki that she cannot trust Hayes. He informs her there’s no way that any of the charges against Hayes can ever be dropped. Hearing that, Hayes asks Viki if she was just shining him on promising to let him walk. He thought he heard her say that she had connections and power to get him sprung. Hugh tells Viki she must not be intimidated by this psycho. But Viki tells Hayes that she will do what he wants in order to get Natalie back.

Roxie encourages Rex to consider having a thing with Adriana. But he tells her she is just a friend and he reveals that he’s not ready to have a thing with anybody right now.

Just then, hearing Adriana talking about how she can see that Rex is not over Jen, Ginger asks her how she can compete with a dead girl. She tells Adriana that perhaps she is not over Duke.

The priest tells Margaret that he needs to know more about her baby’s father. He leaves and sicko Margaret tells the baby that “daddy” will have to choose which family to have. And she tells the baay that mommy, daddy and little Todd Jr. will live happily ever after.

Right then, Todd returns home having no clue that that psycho is still out there.
