Tess and Nash return home on roller blades. He seems to really be interested in her. But she seems as though this is something she is not used to and not comfortable with. Hey, let’s find out how a formerly “evil, sociopath” with no conscience responds to the question of having romantic feelings for someone.

Rex goes to the police station and goes through Bo’s files to find info on Hayes Barber. Right then, John catches him and tells him he better stop snooping through police files because he’s not a cop. John tells Rex he will get Natalie back. But in the meantime, he does not need Rex going and screwing it up. Rex asks if it could be screwed up any more than John has already made it. He tells John that all Nattie wanted was for him to care about her. And he screwed that up. And she is paying the price. Hearing that, John pushes Rex up against the wall. And right then, Bo and Matthew enter to witness that.

RJ and Lindsay go to Capricorn and he notices Antonio. He wants to pick a fight since Antonio bought him out of his club. Lindsay tells him nothing good will come out of his antagonizing Antonio. She goes to get them a table and he seems to notice Layla. She introduces herself. And right then, Evangeline appears and asks RJ what he’s doing with her sister. Right then, Antonio gets a call from New York City.

Tess tells Nash that they are just acting out a domestic scene. He asks her who is acting. She tells him she cannot stay there forever and will have to go. He asks her where she can go. She, at first, does not know how to answer that. But she replies that she can go home.

ggggggggggggggggAdriana informs Duke that she is planning on going out with Rex. But because she does not want her mother to know it, she’s having Ginger appear as though she is going out with him instead.

Rex protests to bo and John that it was he, and nobody else who found out who “Ted” was, who investigated Colson’s passport, and succeeded in many ways, where they failed, in bringing Colson down. When he leaves, Bo admits to John that he is a little disappointed in him (John) and cannot dispute what Rex just reminded them.

It seems that Layla knows all about Randall James who spent time in prison, who got mixed up with her sister and dragged her down. And who kidnapped a little girl and kept her away from her father. Hearing that, RJ tells Layla that she is a real piece of work. Evangeline tells him he’d better not mess around with her sister. He privately tells her that she is an ambulance chaser and she must have gotten dumped again. Evangeline has a much friendlier conversation with Antonio. She thanks him for hiring her sister and letting her stay with him and admits that Layla is a bit dramatic. But she tells him that Layla will be staying with her now that they have found the killer.

Tess tells Nash that she needs to go and find her own place to live by herself. He seems to want to go with her or live with her. But she tells him that she is not going to be dependent upon anybody to take care of her. He then makes more room in his closet. She asks what he is doing. It’s obvious. He wants her to share it with him.

Adriana, Duke and Ginger got to Ultraviolet and Adriana wants to “sell” Rex to Ginger. Duke questions if she is not falling for Rex herself. She tells him she just wants to fix him up with Ginger and the only guy she wants is him. Rex, then enters and reveals to Adriana that something has happened. She asks him to tell her. He tells her that Barber is not talking. John is not doing his job. And he got kicked out of the police station. And now he just wants a drink.

John tells Bo that he will not rest until Natalie is found and safe. Bo reminds him that they have gone over this so many times, bent the rules, gone beyond the protocol. He tells John that when he gets stressed over the injustice and stress, he goes and plays video games with his son. Just 20 minutes with Matthew and he can put his demons to bed. John tells Bo he does not have a son. Bo says he knows but John needs to find a way to get rid of his demons. He suggests that John goes out and finds a friend, goes to a bar, shoots some pool, does whatever. Just forget being a cop for a night, he tells him. He tells John he does not want to find out that he is Barber’s last victim.

When Rex is alone with Ginger, he does not seem friendly to her, remembering her making light of what happened to Jen. He asks her if she wants to insult him now that his sister is missing. But right then, Adriana tells him that she cares about him, the loss of Jen and his sister. He warms up to her instantly.

Tess tells Nash he must be out of his mind to think she can move in with him. He tells her it’s simple. She’s broke with no place to live and he can use the help. So until one of them strikes it rich, they can stay together.

Layla informs Evangeline and Antonio that a major producer is going to meet with her. Antonio tells her she may go and get ready and another bartender can cover for her.

RJ tells Lindsay that he has something to take care of. She tells him first he is ready to antagonize Antonio. Then he gets into a brawl with the Williamson sisters. And now he’s on some mystery round. He goes out the door. John enters. He asks Antonio for a shot of whiskey. He informs him that the commissioner asked him to “get out and enjoy life”, whatever that means. Antonio admits that he could use a day off. John asks how anybody can expect him to enjoy life, without….. And Evangeline appears behind him and asks him if he was going to say: “without Natalie.”

Matthew asks Bo about his talk with John. Bo tells his son that John is really tired, needs to relax, unwind and not think about Natalie 24/7. Matthew tells his father that he knows they will find Natalie. He knows. He tells them that he said a prayer for Jen and he could hear her tell him that everything will be ok and he must have faith that Natalie will be ok. Bo then asks his son to play video games on the computer.

Evangeline tells John it is not like him to drown his sorrows, noticing he is drinking. She notices he never drowned his sorrows over her. He asks her why she is so concerned about what failed with them. She tells him that he needs to focus on his own needs and she walks away. He asks Antonio for some more. Antonio asks him if he has not had enough. He say no and pours some more.

Right then, Layla’s contact, Curtis Murray comes to see her.

Tess warns Nash that she sleeps until noon, stays up all hours of the night. And she drinks out of the carton. He tells her if it gets too weird, they can just renegotiate. He then tells her he will get back to what he was doing. And she mustn’t feel shy about cutting that bed in half.

RJ comes to confront Rex at Ultraviolet, demanding that they talk now so he doesn’t have to embarrass Rex in front of his little friends. Alone with Adriana, Ginger tells her that Rex likes her (Adriana, not Ginger). She may want to fix him up with Ginger. But he does not care for her. He likes Adriana. Right then, Duke is behind them, hearing their conversation.

Rex tells RJ that he has a lot going on in his life. He no longer cares about RJ’s little beef with Antonio. He then finds out that Rex might be double-crossing him behind his back, with Antonio.

When Duke is alone with Adriana, she is concerned about Rex’s confrontation with RJ. He tells her he doesn’t want to talk or hear about Rex or RJ.

Nash and Tess have a big curtain separating their respective sides of the bed and of the apartment. He serves dinner. She tells him they should eat on the fire escape. He asks her what her real name is. She tells him she has no name except Tess.

At Evangeline’s, she hears a knock on the door. She assumes it’s Layla who has lost her keys. But when she opens the door, she is surprised to see John.

Right when Mr. Murray is ready to "promote" Layla, Antonio can sense that he is sleezy and he jumps in to inform him that he is her agent. Mr. Murray tells Layla he hopes she enjoys waiting tables for the rest of her life.

RJ confronts Rex, telling him if he is working with Antonio Vega, he will be sorry.

DUke surprises Adriana with a vacation for them to go on.

Evangeline tells John that he has to get out and leave her alone so she can get on with her life. She asks what he wants. He tells her he cannot be alone anymore. He tells her that it's easy for him to engross in his job and not have to deal with his feelings and himself. But then she came into his life. ANd he admits that he really screwed up with her. He admits that she saved him and he wants her.
