One Life to Live Update for Tuesday, 9-Aug-2005

Dorian comes to talk to Blair about all her plans for her wedding. But of course that’s not all she wants to talk about. She wants to talk Blair out of marrying Todd and Kelly out of getting back with Kevin. Blair tells her aunt she will marry Todd whether Dorian likes it or not. And she doubts that Kelly is interested in Spencer nor ready to break up with Kevin.

Right then, Kevin and Kelly are getting it on in his office and he encourages her to work with him at BE and see that they can have a professional relationship in addition to their romance. He gives her some files about BE’s financial records and asks her to take them with her to look them over. Right then, Kelly gets a call from Spencer to have lunch together. She agrees to meet him but when she gets off the phone, she informs Kevin about the call and announces that she plans to meet Spencer in order to tell him she is not interested and cannot see him again. After she’s gone, Dorian goes to urge her niece to consider Spencer. But when she gets to the office, Kelly has already left. Kevin tells Dorian that he knows why she is there. And she’s wasting her time if she thinks that she can get Kelly to break up with him and see somebody else.

David goes to the restaurant and runs into Spencer, while Kelly is with him. Right then, she gets a call from Dorian. Of course, it’s in response to Dorian’s conversation with Kevin, where he’s smugly told her that he and Kelly are not going to split. And she’s urging Kelly to break up with Kevin and see Spencer. Kelly tells her aunt no way and hangs up on her. But while she is distracted, Spencer asks David for a favor. David tells Spencer he wants to be left alone and will not do his dirty work for him. But Spencer uses his “threat tactics” to motivate his brother to go through Kelly’s files. Spencer then goes and distracts a bartender, flirting with her and acting like he wants to help her with her carpal tunnel while David secretly goes through the BE files. But when David is done, he tells Spencer that there was nothing in those files of any interest and Spencer just wasted both of their time.

Antonio is able to find out that Jessica has a job interview scheduled. And he finds his way there while Layla accompanies him. He goes and tells the front desk guy that he knows that Jessica Buchanan has an interview there and he is a “friend” of hers. The guy tells him that Jessica is late. And Antonio asks if she left an address or phone number. The guy tells him that is confidential information. Antonio is once again dumbfounded as to what to do in order to find Jessica. But Layla comes up with a plan. She goes out the door and then enters, apologizing for being late and identifies herself as Jessica Buchanan. At first, Antonio tells her she needs to stay out of this. But she tells him she can, at least, stall the interviewers and buy him some time while he attempts to find Jessica. She goes in and sells herself while Antonio goes through the files. But he fails to find anything of any interest. And right after they leave, “Tess” shows up for the interview, unseen by them and not seeing them. She tells them she is there for an interview. But they tell her they’ve already reviewed all the applicants they need and don’t need to talk to her. She tells them that she had an interview scheduled today and her name is Jessica Buchanan. But they tell her that is impossible. They already talked to Jessica. And that is a little too much for Tess.

When Nash is alone in his apartment while she is at the interview, he gets a call from his sinister friend, Bruce. At first, Nash does not seem to want to talk to Bruce. But Bruce reminds him that he needed his help in clearing up a “problem”. And he tells Nash that he has heard that Nash still has that “problem”. We don’t find out exactly what they are talking about. But Bruce reminds Nash of their “adventure” with that “blond” at the pool party, not long ago. Nash then has a flashback of his first encounter with Tess and how he saved her life after Bruce drugged her. Hearing Bruce’s “remembrance” of the event, he tells Bruce that he never again saw “that blond”.

Margaret is coming and going at Asa’s. He tells her she better not let Renee see her or she is dead. She asks him why he did not kill her or let her go to jail at the border when he found her. It must obviously be due to his wanting and needing a favor from her. He admits that he wants Blair dead. That is the whole reason why he’s willing to help her with what she wants. She reminds him that she also wants “her man” and father of her baby, Todd, to come back to her. Hearing that, Asa asks her why she would want Todd in the first place. Why does she have this mistaken idea that he is in love with her? Doesn’t she realize Todd does not care for her and wants her dead? She says she knows that the baby will change all of that. Thorughout all of this, Todd is demanding that Asa finds and kills Margaret. Little does he know that Asa is harboring her in his home. ANd Asa is very tempted to do what Todd has asked him.
