One Life to Live Update for Wednesday, 10-Aug-2005

Antonio gets on the phone and angrily tells somebody that Jessica did not show up for her interview and they better work overtime until they find her.

Meanwhile, Tess enters the place where she (Jessica really) is scheduled for her job interview and notices Layla. SHe identifies herself as Jessica Buchanan. But the guy at the desk tells Tess that he has already met and interviewed with Jessica Buchanan. She’s standing right there. He points at Layla. Tess tells him that this woman has stolen her identity. The guy says he doesn’t want to get involved in this and maybe the two of them can work that out amongst themselves.

Right then, Nash is having a conversation with a business associate of his. The guy tells him he can give him something he’s always wanted.

Kevin and Kelly are in bed. He tells her that he wants her to know that he is with her because he chooses to her. And it has nothing to do with the fact that Spencer may be interested in her.

Dorian finds Blair and tells her that she needs to talk to her. She tells Blair that if she discussed this with David, he’d tell her she is meddling. But Blair doesn’t seem any more interested in what Dorian wants to discuss and already knows that Dorian wants her to prevent Kelly from getting back with Kevin. Blair tells Dorian she has a much more important concerns on her mind, right now, than Kevin and Kelly’s private business. The first of which is Margaret Cochran.

Right then, Todd goes to confront Asa asking him if he knows where Margaret is. And Asa admits to Todd that Margaret is right there on his property.

After making his call, Antonio stands outside the place where Jessica was supposed to interview, not knowing what to do. He then has a memory of himself and Jessica in an intimate moment, during happier times. And that was when he gave her the charm bracelet that Tess just threw on the street. He told her, when he gave it to her, that he wanted her to have something to see and feel and touch and know how much he loves her. And she told him she loves him too.

Layla tells Tess (believing she is Jessica, and never having heard of "Tess") that the reason she “stole” her identity is because she knows her boyfriend. Tess tells Layla that she doesn’t know anything about her boyfriend, assuming she’s talking about Nash and has never even met her. Layla tells Tess that she heard her identify herself as Jessica Buchanan. Plus she saw her picture. And she knows Antonio Vega. She informs Tess that Antonio is right outside. So maybe she should go down and talk to him.

Kelly tells Kevin that they have spent two wonderful afternoons together. But they have been through a lot and hurt each other a lot. And it won’t all just go away. He tells her he realizes that he’s apologized but simply saying he’s sorry isn’t always enough. She admits that she does not want to be without him. He tells her he wants a chance to show her how much he loves her.

Todd asks Asa if it is really true that Margaret is on his property. Is he lying? Asa tells Todd that he just wants to make sure that he and Blair are holding up their end of the bargain. Todd says he is and he will handle Blair and he asks Asa where Margaret is. Asa says she is in the guesthouse. Todd goes to find her. But Asa tells him he might want to take “this” with him and he hands Todd a gun.

Margaret is looking at pictures of Blair and telling her that she will take her man. She asks if the “execution” is ready, as if Blair is going to get the death penalty. And she cuts the picture of Blair and tells them she is not going away.

Right then, Blair explains to Dorian the “deal” she cut with Asa, where she would drop the charges against him if he “got” Margaret. Hearing that, Dorian asks Blair in what context she means “get Margaret”

After Asa hands Todd the gun, Todd asks Asa what he expects him to do with it. Asa tells Todd he knows what he’d do with it if Margaret was threatening his family. Todd takes the gun. And Asa says to himself that he may have “killed two birds with one stone”. And he says that he is a genius.

Tess tells Layla that she is not Jessica. She does not know anybody named Jessica nor anybody named Antonio. But Layla obviously does not understand nor has even heard of “Tess”. So she thinks that she is helping Jessica to enable her to see Antonio. Tess goes away. And Antonio finds Layla again. Not knowing what to say, Layla tells him she thought she saw Jessica but may have been mistaken. He asks her if there is any way that she can find a resume that Jessica may have written so they can track her down. Layla then remembers that they pulled out Jessica’s resume when they interviewed her. Antonio tells Layla that that is what he needs.

Meanwhile, Nash is talking to a guy who can help him set up his winery. Tess returns to him. She tells him she is upset to have failed to get the job. But he tells her the good news. She then tells him that they should just pick up and go to California to set up his winery, right away. But he knows that there is “something going on” for why she’d want to get out of town and be unseen, so fast. He asks her what is going on. He knows there must be something beyond the fact that she did not get the job. She admits that she has a lot to be afraid of.

Dorian asks Blair if she really wants to encourage Asa to kill Margaret. She asks why Todd cannot handle it. She tells Blair that what happened to her, being stuck in the trunk of a car for weeks is unbearable. And all Margaret did to Todd was keep him in a cabin. He probably enjoyed it. Dorian says she knows Margaret is no “looker”. But she knows the way men are. Blair informs Dorian that Margaret raped him.

Right when Margaret is behaving like a nut case, cutting up the picture of Blair, Todd enters. She drops her scissors and freaks. Seeing Todd, she tells him he must be there to carry her away. But he tells her he is there to kill her. He holds the gun at her. She then stands up and tells him he may be angry with her but she knows he’d never kill his own baby. Noticing that she is pregnant, Todd is stunned.

Antonio asks the desk guy who interviewed Layla if he wants to make a few hundred bucks. He lays some down some cash and asks to see Jessica Buchanan’s resume. The guy tells him he could get fired for doing that. Antonio tells him he will not tell if he does not. The guy gets the resume for him. Antonio takes it and confirms with Layla that she has listed the building where she now must be staying. Layla asks him why somebody who looks just like Jessica would say that she’s never met him and she is not Jessica. He tells her he does not know. She asks if he wants her to come with him to find Jessica. He tells her he needs to go alone but thanks her. She tells him good luck.

Knowing what she is up against, Tess reveals to Nash that she has something to worry about. She tells him that whenever something seems too good to be true, somebody always comes and takes it. Hearing that, he tells her that nothing is too good for her or for them. And nothing is going to stand in the way of them getting what they want.

After hearing Blair inform her that Todd was raped, Dorian seems very surprised. She tells her that she is having trouble “visualizing” that, sounding like she is making light of it. Blair tells her aunt that that woman had her locked and gagged and tied up in a truck. And she threatened to kill her and Todd’s children if Todd did not give her what she wanted. Hearing that, Dorian says she cannot imagine a woman going to such drastic measures just to have sex with Todd. Blair tells her Margaret was not after sex. She wanted to have a baby with Todd. And right then, Dorian inquires if Margaret might be pregnant.

Todd freaks when he notices that Margaret is pregnant after what she did with him.

Nash gets ready to go and meet with the guy about the winery. Tess tells him she knows he will succeed. She tells him when he gets back they can celebrate with a nice bottle of vino and some dessert. She sounds very confident. He tells her even though it goes against everything they talked, about, he thinks he’s falling in love with her. When she’s alone, Tess smiles. Little does she know that Antonio has found his way to her building and is right outside.

Blair tells Dorian that she cannot believe that Margaret could be pregnant. Todd told her they only “did it” once. Dorian sarcastically tells Blair that Todd always tells the truth. Blair tells her aunt that Todd fought for his life and his family, who are also her family. She tells Dorian she better not breathe one word of what she told her to anybody, or she will never, ever forgive her. Dorian promises to swear on Blair’s mother and her sister, Addie’s life that she will not tell anybody that Blair informed her that Todd was raped. Blair then calls Todd, asks where he is and leaves a message for him to call her back when he gets the message.

Todd tells Margaret that it is impossible, remembering the test results, that she could be pregnant. But she tells him the test was wrong. She took a second test. She asks him if he wants proof. He tells her he does not want anything. She tells him she already went to the reverend and talked about christening. She considered Viki and Kevin as godparents. He tells her he already has a family. She tells him a man cannot have two families. So they will have to get rid of one of them. She tells him that her baby boy needs a good father. She says that Jack could be a good big brother to the baby. So she won’t do anything to him. But Blair and Starr will have to be eliminated. He tells her she will not go anywhere near his family. She tells him that they will not go near her family. They will have to die. Right then she holds a gun on him. They get into a struggle and he looks like he might be strangling her. But she grabs the scissors and stabs him.

Right when Nash goes out the door, Tess follows him out, asks him to wait and says she must tell him something. She tells him she is falling in love with him too. And she tells him when he comes home, later, there are some things she must tell him about herself. He tells her that that can wait. But she knows that it is important that she tells him. He tells her she may wait for him in the apartment. But she suggests waiting for him right on this bench. Little does she knows that she DON’T want to do that. And RIGHT THEN Antonio comes up behind her, sees her and says Jessica.

Blair goes to Asa’s looking for Todd. He doesn’t want to answer. She tells Asa if he has hurt Todd, he’ll be sorry. She tells him that she knows that Todd came to demand that he found Margaret Cochran and threatened to call the police if he did not find her. She tells Asa she does not trust him after all he’s done to them .Asa tells her she need not worry because everything is under control. He tells her she will never see the likes of Margaret Cochran again.

Right when Todd is lying on the ground, bleeding from the stab wound, Margaret manages to get to him. He doesn’t seem to be able to move. But she gets on her feet. She babbles away about how she will have a family with her man. And she picks up the gun while he lies on the ground unconscious.
