One Life to Live Update for Monday, 15-Aug-2005

Kevin finds out that something went wrong with a “business deal”. And he assumes that Kelly is the cause of that.

In NYC, Nash returns home and is very upset that Tess has vanished without a trace. But he notices she’s left her cell phone behind. He is upset and also suspicious of her.

Meanwhile, Jessica tells Antonio the grim news about Tess sleeping around without a thought. After revealing that, Jessica cries and tells him how sorry she is and asks what they do now. He admits to her that he does not know. He asks her how many men she’s slept with. But of course she cannot answer that, since she has no recollection of anything that happens whenever Tess comes out. She admits she does not know how many people Tess slept with although she has met some of them. Some have approached her and talked about what happened when they were with Tess. But she had no idea who they were or what they were talking about. She had no idea how she wound up in New York. It’s like she’s been possessed. He admits that they may have already been together since “Tess” has “made the rounds”. Jessica weeps when she realizes she might already have an STD and could have already spread it to Antonio. But he tells her he loves her and is not willing to walk away from this or from them. He tells her whatever is going on, they can get through this together.

Meanwhile, Nash goes through his refrigerator and drinks. He talks to an invisible person about the day he had. He remembers talking about the future and the winery with Tess. He talks, intoxicated, about how he aced his meeting and all their dreams that they talked about were going to come true. And the best part was himself standing on the street corner in the rain, like a soggy, lovesick idiot. And he asks what that woman has done to him.

Dorian asks Blair how many Buchanan’s can come to the wedding. Blair tells Dorian all she needs to do is focus on marrying the man she loves without all the pointless feuding with the Buchanan’s. David says he’d rather elope than feed all the people they do not care for. They remember that Todd has been missing for a long time. Blair admits that she is a little worried that there is a homicidal freak who is obsessed over her fiancé. David things it’s all a joke. And Dorain says she has never known of “things” happening to Todd. Instead, Todd always “happens” to things.

Right then, Todd is passed out in a gutter and Spencer finds him.

Kevin tells Kelly that his “merger” fell through. She was the only person with access to it. That was obviously due to David and Spencer going through her purse that one time. She asks him why he suspects her and that it’s pointless to defend herself. He will suspect her no matter what she tells him. But she tells him whatever caused the leak of information had nothing to do with her. She has no intention of screwing up Buchanan Enterprises and wishes he would believe her.

David still has no intention of having Spencer be his best man, as Dorian wants him to. Blair listens to their conversation and seems not to want to listen. David keeps telling Dorian that his brother is a sleezeball and nothing has changed since he came to Llanview.

Right then, a semi-conscious and delirious Todd tells Spencer that Margaret stabbed him. And although he wanted to kill her, he could not because she is pregnant with his baby. Looks like the “disclosure” of THAT information is an ACE IN THE HOLE for SPENCER…in being able to SCORE with BLAIR! And take her away from Todd.

Kevin tells Kelly he wants to believe her. But she says there is no point if he does not trust her and she cannot prove that she didn’t screw him over. Right then, Dorian, David and Blair overhear their raised voices. And Dorian admits she does not care what that is about as long as they are at each other’s throats and her niece dumps Kevin. Right then, David remembers taking the BE files from Kelly’s purse and seems to know what Kevin is angry with her for. So, he goes on the phone to make a private call to his brother. Alone with Blair, Dorian asks her niece if she knows why David has such problems with Spencer.

Right then, Spencer rushes Todd into the ER. A woman doctor tells Spencer that she is in charge of this department. But he insists that Mr. Manning is his patient and he will “take care” of him.

Jessica admits to Antonio that she checked herself into St. Anne’s with only Todd knowing where she was because he already knew Tess. Antonio asks her why she did not tell her mom. Jessica tells him she is afraid that it would break Viki’s heart to find out that her daughter had D.I.D. Antonio tells her that from what he’s heard, multiple personalities develop in response to trauma. She informs him that once when Tess came out she was ready to tell Jessica why she is there and indicated that Jessica blocked out something that happened in her childhood. But the next thing she knew, she’d already been in New York for weeks. (Or Tess had been). And she did not remember anything that happened throughout that time. Antonio tells Jessica that she might have a way to control Tess even if she does not believe that she can. He tells her that Tess cannot function or exist without Jessica. So if Tess wants to hurt him, a part of Jessica must want to hurt him also.

In response to what Blair told her about what Margaret did to Todd, Dorian tells her niece perhaps they must not believe everything Todd tells them and may want to consider hearing Margaret’s “side”. Blair says that is absurd. Margaret is a psychopath. But Dorian tells Blair she must remember that Todd has had a lengthy criminal history and never had a great track record for telling the truth. Right then, David gets off the phone and informs them that Todd is in the hospital and his sleezeball brother is treating him.

Right at the hospital, when the nurse is ready to order the blood transfusion, Spencer demands that he lets him donate his own blood to Todd. He tells unconscious Todd that he cannot wait until he wakes up and discovers that Spencer’s blood saved him and that Spencer knows that he will be a father again, and not with Blair.

Nash gets a call from his friend whom he just told all about his “future” with Tess. The guy tells him that he could tell that Nash really seems to have something special in his life. He tells Nash he wishes he had what Nash seems to have and that Nash should not let this one go. Nash does not talk to his friend and does not know what to say or do.

After Antonio reveals to Jessica that Tess is inside her and a part of Jessica might want to hurt him, Jessica tells him he must never believe that she wants to hurt him. They admit that she made a big mistake marrying and trusting Tico. But that probably isn’t what brought Tess out. Jessica admits she did some nasty things to Dorian Lord when she lost her baby. But she doubts it has anything to do with that. Jessica says she doubts that Tess is out to avenge all that has wronged her in her life. She just wants to go around and cause trouble and assert her independence, not unlike Niki Smith did for Viki. She admits that she feels dirty. She just wants to take hot showers. She does not know how many men Tess has slept with. But he tells her he does not care what that “other person” did. She is still the woman he fell in love with. And nothing will change that. She is not alone in this. She is in his life. He tells her he will be there for her no matter what happens. He encourages them to put their heads together and investigate what happened to enable Tess to come out. He reminds her that he found the mysterious resume that should tell them where Tess had been staying in New York. But Jessica tells him that she is afraid to go back to New York. That’s Tess’s world. That’s where she is the strongest. And she’s afraid she will not be able to resist her. But she agrees that she knows he’s probably right. And he tells her that she must go alone. If he comes, it might mess things up. She asks him if he could forgive her for the things she might have done while she was Tess.

While Dorian and David observe Kelly and Kevin having an argument, Dorian says she just wants Kevin to suffer. Kelly tells Kevin she does not make mistakes in business. She may make them in her personal life. He remembers her “affair” in Texas. She then remembers his affair with Blair.

Right then, Blair rushes to the hospital to see Todd. Spencer is there to look like the hero doctor. She right then remembers the last time she saw Todd, he was going to confront Margaret. And she tells Spencer she needs to see Todd right now.

Kelly concludes to Kevin that perhaps they were fools to think they could reconcile. They cannot get back together nor work together. So she tells him she will leave and give him her resignation. But he tells her he does not want her to go.

Dorian asks David if perhaps Todd’s condition could be “life-threatening”, sounding like she wishes it is.

Nash gets on the phone to report that his girlfriend is missing and did not come home. He identifies her as Caucasian, blond hair, about 5’7”. He asks Tess where she is.

Meanwhile, Antonio tells Jessica that she must not feel responsible for what Tess does. She is another person. She tells him that’s easy for him to say. But he tells her he means it. There is nothing that Tess can say or do that will keep them apart.

Nash relives being the hero for "Tess" by punching Todd and accusing him of stealing a lady's purse.....all in order to protect Tess from being bothered by a strange man. Right then, he gets an idea. He calls the restaurant and asks to get the arresting officer's name. While he's on hold, he says he is determined to find Tess.

Right when Jessica is getting some food for Antonio in his kitchen, she notices a newspaper where there is an article that looks like Antonio is messing around with Layla. ANd right then, she comes looking for her bra. ANd Jessica observes this "other woman" who appears to be hot for ANtonio.

Knowing what he probably caused to happen to KElly, (which Spencer threatened him to do) David asks Kevin if Kelly is ok. Kevin tells him it's none of his buisness. But David seems to know what he and Spencer did in order to make Kevin distrust Kelly.

Right then, Blair goes to find Todd in his hospital room and asks him what happened to him. ANd wouldn't you know? Right outside the door, Spencer is watching them.
