One Life to Live Update for Tuesday, 16-Aug-2005

Right when Antonio has taken Jessica home and the whole “Tess mess” is ready to be cleared up, Layla walks in and tells Antonio she is there to pick up her bra. Jessica does not seem to have a sense of humor to hear that. He introduces them and informs Jessica that Layla is a just a new waitress and acquaintance of his who helped him find her in New York. Layla tries to assures Jessica that she and Antonio did not sleep together and she was just joking about the bra. But Jessica concludes that while she was gone, Antonio must have seen other people.

When Todd is in the hospital, Blair comes to see him and asks who stabbed him, assuming it was Asa. He does not know how to tell her all that has happened in regard to Margaret.

John has the search team out looking for Natalie. But she is still stuck in the well and has passed out.

Evangeline comes to see Viki to inform her what she found out when she went under hypnosis. She informs Viki that she found a map while being in Nick Masino’s car. She believes that Natalie was taken to Llantano Mountain. Viki tells Evangeline she is so grateful to her for helping find her daughter, especially given the fact that they are both in love with the same man.

Rex goes to find Nick in his hospital room and demands he gets up out of his bed. A security guard comes and attempts to remove Rex from Nick’s room. But Rex says he is not going anywhere until this dude tells him where his sister is.

Blair asks Todd what happened, right when Spencer is in the room. She assumes that Asa hurt him and does not consider that it was Margaret. Todd then reveals to Blair that it was not Asa who stabbed him. She then asks who did it. He hesitates to answer, noticing that Spencer is right in the room hearing their conversation.

Jessica notices Layla and says she is interested to meet Evangeline’s sister. She attempts to be polite but does not seem comfortable. Layla makes a comment about the job interview, where she remembers meeting “Jessica” yet not realizing that Jessica has no recollection of the job interview or of meeting Layla, since she was Tess when it happened. Antonio tells Layla that he and Jessica are in the middle of something. He apologizes. And Jessica tells him that he could have slept with every waitress at Capricorn and it would not be any worse than what Tess did. He assures her that was Tess and not herself. But she is ashamed.

Nash is on the phone to the police station, determined to find out the name of the guy who he punched for “Tess”. The cop on the phone tells him the charges have been dropped since the guy got falsely arrested. But Nash is able to find out that his name is Todd Manning, a rich guy from Llanview, PA.

Todd tells Blair that he stabbed himself. She doesn’t seem to buy that. He tells her it was a freak accident. He got a flat tire on the way back from Asa’s. He tells her that he used his old pair of sheers to prop the tire, they slipped, he went after them, and the sheers when into his stomach. She asks then how he got to the hospital. He tells her he crawled. But he made it and no harm, no foul. She tells him he could have been killed. He tells her he wasn’t . She reminds him he made her a total nervous wreck. She tells him she will go to call the kids. Alone in the room with Spencer, Todd tells him he must buy tickets the next time he wants to watch the “show”. Spencer tells Todd that he has just heard him tell a bold-faced lie to his wife.

When the security guard is ready to remove Rex from Nick’s room, Rex tells the cop that they must remembers his sister, who used to work as their secretary. She made good coffee and made sure they had all the creamers they wanted. And this guy is holding his sister and she could die. The cop agrees to give Rex five minutes. Rex tells Nick that he demands that he tells him everything that Hayes Barber told him so that they can find Natalie.

While unconscious and stuck in the well, Natalie is having a “dream” about John marrying Evangeline right at Llanfair. Viki is there for them, telling John she has no hard feelings, sees him as part of the family and knows he did everything he could in order to save Natalie. And everybody is ok with Natalie dead and John marrying Evangeline.

Jessica tells Antonio that she cannot live with this. She is responsible, on some level, for what Tess did, all the men she slept with and what she almost did to her mother. He tells her it’s not her fault. But she reminds him she went to a doctor and that did not work. She checked herself into St. Anne’s and that did not work. And she has absolutely no control over when Tess comes out or what she will do. Antonio reminds her that her mom got over having multiple personalities. So maybe she can too. Maybe she should tell Viki what is happening to her. Jessica agrees that maybe she should do that. But Antonio knows that there is something that Viki is going through that Jessica is not aware of that he must tell her. She asks what happened when she was in New York. He assures her nothing has happened to Viki. But he tells her that Natalie is missing.

Viki tells Evangeline that John has really been there for Natalie ever since Christian’s death. And she realizes that that really put a strain on Evangeline’s relationship with John. Evangeline tells Viki she does not know how she could have survived the kidnapping without Natalie. Viki breaks down afraid her daughter is dead. But Evangeline encourages Viki to know that Natalie is a fighter and she has John out looking for her.

John and Bo have their search party out looking for Natalie.

Natalie is passed out in the well, having her dream about Viki telling John he must not “dwell in the past”, he must let it go and life must go on. And he meets Evangeline in her wedding dress right before they get ready to get married. Viki welcomes them both as if they are her family. John goes over and says goodbye to a picture of Natalie. Right then, Natalie moves her head and awakens. And she takes the steel instrument and attempts to knock down the bricks and chisel her way out of the well.

Rex asks Nick what Hayes said after he brought Evangeline to the basement. Nick tells rex he’s wasting his time because Hayes is nuts. Rex demands that he tells him what Hayes said. Nick tells him that Hayes was talking about cheerleading outfits and he noticed mud on his hands. Rex tells Nick he is very stupid not to have noticed more and that Natalie could die because of him. Right then, the security guard tells Rex it’s time and he needs to go.

Spencer informs Todd that he donated his own blood to save him. They are “blood brothers”. Todd tells Spencer he did not ask for his blood nor ask him to eavesdrop on his conversation with his wife. Spencer also informs Todd that heard him talk about some “Margaret” person when he discovered him in the alley. Todd tells Spencer he doesn’t know what he heard. Spencer tells Todd he can always find out from Blair who Margaret is. Todd informs Spencer that Margaret is a psychopath who tried to kill him, tried to kill Blair and terrorize his family. He tells him that Blair has had nightmares and been terrorized for months knowing that Margaret has not been found or caught. Blair is still living in fear of her but is finally recovering. Spencer, however, remembers Todd telling him something much more significant about Margaret. (meaning she is carrying his baby)

After finding out the name, Todd Manning, Nash gets on his computer and finds out that in college, Todd had been arrested for the brutal gang rape of another student. And right away, he assumes that Tess has been dragged back by a frigging rapist.

Right then, Jessica goes back to Llanview. Viki is elated to see her. But Jessica is not so happy. Viki tells her that she knows Natalie will be home soon also.

Natalie is attempting to chisel her way out of the well.

Todd asks Spencer what else he heard him say when he was out of it. He must know that it’s entirely possible he told Spencer that Margaret is having his baby. He tells Spencer that he will make a “deal” with his blood brother. Spencer must back him on the “shears in the trunk” story and not breath a word of what he told him about Margaret to Blair. He reminds the doctor that he can take his license to practice medicine since there are doctor/patient confidentiality law and he did not give consent for Spencer to give Blair that information. Right then, Blair returns.

Rex calls Bo and tells him that Nick saw Hayes tracking red mud. John tells Rex that’s good but he must stay away from Nick because they have it from here. John then asks the cop where there is red clay or red dirt. He also goes to find a piece of fabric that looks like it was something of Natalie’s.

Natalie, then attempts to climb and makes it to the top of the well. She then bangs on the locked chain.

Todd notices that Blair is very grateful to Spencer for donating his blood.

Nash, is right then, ready to GO AFTER TODD MANNING, assuming that he's raped Tess.

Natalie pounds away at the lock on the door. But she loses her balance and falls to the bottom of the well. Right then, John finds her. but there is an avalance and he cannot get to her.
