One Life to Live Update for Thursday, 18-Aug-2005

When Todd is released from the hospital, he warns Spencer not to tell Blair the “secret”. Blair, right then walks in and seems to know that the “secret” is about what really happened to Todd. Todd tells her that Spencer just wants him to stay another night and he does not want to. She asks Spencer to tell Todd he must stay for observation. But Spencer tells her that there’s no reason why Todd would need to stay longer. Spencer leaves and Blair tells Todd that she still does not believe that he is telling the truth. He tells her he believes she is suspicious by nature. She tells him he would be also if she told him a crazy story about getting stabbed by tire shears. He then tells her that he made reservations at the Palace. He must take care of some stuff and he will meet her there later. She tells him she is very uncomfortable with that but agrees to meet him later. Alone, Todd makes a call to private investigators, telling them they are morons to let Margaret Cochran slip by. He tells them he can prove that she is in town. She has not changed her physical appearance. And one thing very noticeable about her is that she is visibly pregnant.

Nash is on the warpath to search all over for clues about whoever may have seen Tess and where she might be. He goes to a bar to ask a bartender about Tess. The bartender asks him if Tess dumped him. He relives hearing Tess telling him she is falling in love with him and replies that she did not.

Jessica and Antonio brainstorm on ways to defeat Tess.

John tells Bo and the cops that he is not just going to sit and wait while Natalie may be crushed to death. They lower him into the well on a rope. And he gets to Natalie. Rex is ready to also jump in to save his sister. But they tell Bo he cannot let another one down there and they already do not know how to get John out of there. John yells that Natalie is alive and breathing.

Dorian tells Kelly that she thinks it’s great that Kelly wants to help Viki. But won’t it be just a bit awkward for Kelly to be in the same room with Kevin?

The rescue team gets Natalie out of the well and transports her to the rescue vehicle. They then, move John out of the well. Rex demands that they tell him if his sister is ok. John says he wants to go with her in the ambulance. They rescue team say fine but they must move right now.

Todd remembers, again, Margaret telling him that he cannot have two different families. And so she will have to eliminate Blair and Starr. He then gets on the phone to tell his contact that although he previously told them he doesn’t want guards by his door, he has changed his mind and wants double-protection.

Nash seems to be in Llanview and just happens to run into Blair. He asks her if she has seen a young woman matching the description of Tess. Little does he know that she is the fiancé of the notorious Todd Manning. And little does she know that he has spent weeks with Jessica’s alter ego. When Blair is on the cell phone and unable to hear Nash’s conversation with bartender, he asks the bartender about Todd Manning.

Antonio goes to join the rescue team after Natalie has been found. Roxie enters Viki’s and finds out that her daughter has been rescued. Right then, Viki gets a call and tells everybody that Bo informed her that Natalie is alive and they are taking her to the hospital. Viki and Roxie rush out the door while Kevin, Kelly, Jessica and Dorian go behind them.

Spencer is on the Internet digging up all the dirt on Todd Manning.

While Todd is on the phone to find Margaret, Antonio appears and informs him that they have found Jessica. He informs Todd that he knows all about Tess and Todd’s plan to check her into St. Anne’s without telling him. Todd tells Antonio he did what he had to do for his niece. But Antonio tells Todd he is taking over from now on. Todd tells Antonio that every time he (Antonio) is around Jessica, she turns into a raving lunatic. So Antonio needs to realize that if anybody needs to pop out of Jessica’s life, it’s him.

Natalie’s family all rushes to the hospital while she is being wheeled in. Michael tells them she is alive and will probably recover. But there is something they need to know. He tells them she is dehydrated. He is concerned that she was without water for a very long time. And if the pressure does not come back to normal, there is a risk of seizure, possibly brain damage. Viki and Roxie go in to see her. Evangeline tells John that he must not give hope that Natalie can fight this. He thanks her for the lead to find Natalie. She tells him all that matters is that they got there in time.

Alone with Rex, Bo tells Rex he knows that waiting is tough. But they must let the doctors take care of Natalie. Rex tells Bo he cannot lose his sister. Bo reveals that he knows what Rex is going through, remembering he’s lost his son. Bo admits that his son was not always a hero. As a kid he was pretty reckless and got into a lot of trouble. And it surprised a lot of people that he chose to be a cop.sssssss He admits to Rex that the pain of losing someone will never go away. But they mustn’t worry about that in regard to Natalie. She is going to be ok. And they go to see her. Right then, Jessica runs inot Dr. Jamison. She reveals to him, for the frist time that not only did Tess come out, she managed to escape from St. Anne’s and go to New York for weeks. She tells him it does not matter because Antonio will be there.

Todd tells Antoni that he must know how devious Tess is. Antonio tells Todd he will not be afraid of her not abandon Jessica. Todd reminds him that because of Tess, Viki had a heart attack. Antonio reminds Todd that his own sister, Viki had the same disorder as Jessica. So there must be a way that Jessica can beat it.

Right when Nash in in the bar, he overhears Dorian and Blair talking. Dorian asks her niece: “What has Todd Manning done now?” And Nash can hear it unmistakably. Blair tells her aunt she is talking about the man she loves. Blair informs Dorian that Todd had an accident while fixing a flat tire and accidentally got cut by shears. She also informs Dorian that Todd was going to find Margaret Cochran. Dorian reveals her attitude of distrust toward Todd. They talk about Todd writing for the Banner and everything. Right then, Nash has overheard everything he needs to know about Todd Manning.

Jessica tells Dr. Jamieson that she will discuss her disorder with her mother. He warns her that it will be difficult. She ays she know what she has to do. But she has no control over Tess or when she will come out. And Tess is the only person who knows this “mystery” that she cannot figure out. He tells her she cannot bury Tess. She must confront her and find out from her why she is there. But Jessica is very worried that she cannot mess with Tess. She is in New York. She has a life of her own. And she cannot get involved in that dangerous situation.

Kevin tells Kelly that he cannot trust her. The minute, they have a disagreement, she goes to leak information to Spencer Truman. But she tells him that he just doesn’t want to commit and admit to what he feels. And that is fine with her. Right then when Kevin is hearing and seeing what she is doing, she gets on the phone to call Spencer and arrange to meet him for drinks at the palace. She tells Kevin she’s glad they found his sister. And she goes out the door.

Viki and Roxie observe unconscious Natalie and appear positive, talking about how beautiful their daughter is. The nurse tells them they must step out while she does her work. Viki tells Roxie she will go to the chapel and pray, assuming that Roxie does not want to join her. But Roxie asks Viki if she thinks she should talk to God with her. Viki tells her that sounds like a great idea. John is ready to enter. But Michael stops him and tells him only immediate family can see her. But when the nurse says her bp is 80 over 40, Michael reconsiders and tells John he may see her.

Kevin gets a call from his dad. He tells him it would be great if he came and stayed with Natalie. But he admits that he and Kelly are having problems.

Right when Blair and Dorian are in the lounge, (after being overheard by Nash), Kelly enters with Spencer. Blair informs Dorian that Spencer donated his blood to Todd. Dorian responds by telling her she must realize that was such a generous and heroic offer. And she reminds her niece that it’s such a shame that Spencer’s “charm and personality” are not as “tranfusable” as his blood. She wishes that Todd was as good a catch as Spencer. And she reminds Blair that Todd’s story about the tire shears is total b.s. Blair defends her husband to her aunt and walks away.

Right then, sicko Margaret tells the baby that she did not mean to “flip out on daddy”. She says that “daddy” just needs time to get used to this. She then concludes if Todd does not come around, they will need somebody else to help them.

Right when Todd is with Antonio, he gets a call about Margaret and leaves. Right then, Nash enters and tells Antonio maybe he can help him. He is looking for somebody.

Jessica arranges to see Dr. Jamieson again. Viki comes out and tells her daughter that she and Roxie have been praying for Natalie. Jessica asks her mother how she is feeling. Viki says she is ok and will be a lot better when she knows Natalie is out of danger.

Michael tells Rex, Bo and John that Natalie is stable. John is talking to Natalie, telling her he knows that something keep her going. And whatever it is, she has to come back to them. Right then, she moves her head and opens her eyes to see him. It looks like she really is the love of his life.
