One Life to Live Update for Friday, 19-Aug-2005

While David is in the bar, Paige Miller comes and sits beside him. She reveals to him that she is not a stranger to him. She is his ex-sister-in-law. She knows all about Spencer and wants to stop him from doing what he is capable of. They seem to confirm that they know it ain’t like the dude to do anything out of the kindness of his heart. Paige has heard that he will give her a position as chief of staff at the hospital and does not buy that he has good intentions. She asks David what he might know, reminding him that she’s worked very hard to get where she is in the medical field.

Right when Jessica is at the hospital with her family outside of Natalie’s room, she notices Tess coming out. She hears herself making hostile comments about how sick it is that everybody cries over Natalie almost dying and then being rescued. She tries to fight off Tess but then see her visibly, while she tells Jessica that she’s back. Right then, while Tess speaks, Roxie appears and asks Jessica whom she is talking to.

Nash informs Antonio that he needs to “settle a score” with Todd Manning. Although Antonio has never seen or met Nash in his life, he seems to agree wholeheartedly with Nash’s “concerns” about Todd.

In the hospital, Natalie wakes up and calls for John.

At the restaurant, Kelly tells Spencer that she really likes him. But she just thinks it would not be a good idea for them to keep seeing each other. She tells him that she wants to work with him at the hospital and be friends. But for that very reason, they cannot be more than friends. He tells her he understands but does not accept. And she later confirms to Kevin that the reason she cannot keep seeing Spencer is because she is still in love with him (Kevin)

Paige tells david that she was hoping to be done with Spencer, once and for all when she divorced him. And hear he is now, back in town. He tells her he has the same worries. They both know that Spencer has some sick scheme, which they do not know of, for why he’s come back into their lives.

Michael goes to examine Natalie and is able to declare to her family that she seems ok. No permanent neurological damage. She sprained her ankle and needs to be re-hydrated. But she’s fine. Viki goes in and sees her daughter.

Nash tells Antonio that he is concerned about Todd Manning’s involvement with “his girlfriend”. And he tells Antonio that he found out that Todd is a convicted rapist. Hearing that, Antonio asks him if “his girlfriend’s name might be Margaret. Nash replies no but realizes Tess might very well have another name for all he knows so he asks Antonio what “Margaret” looks like. Antonio tells Nash that Margaret has long, curly red hair. That confirms to Nash that Tess could not be Margaret and convinces Antonio that Nash’s girlfriend is somebody else. LITTLE does EITHER of them KNOW about the other’s involvement with Tess/Jessica.!! Right then, Antonio gets a call from his beloved JESSICA. Nash overhears only Antonio’s end of the conversation, where he does not say Jessica’s name and Nash does not hear “Jessica’s” voice telling Antonio about her battle with Tess. She tells Antonio that now that Viki is ok and no longer worried about Natalie, she must tell her about Tess and do something to get rid of Tess. When the phone call is over, Antonio tells Nash that he’d like to continue this conversation but has to go. He leaves and Nash is still determined to get to the bottom of this mystery and find Tess. Jeesh, you’d think ONE of them would have said the name TESS to the other by NOW. Wouldn’t ya think?

As soon as Jessica gets off the phone to Antonio, she is hearing Tess shoot off her mouth again. Kevin comes up and asks her if she is ok. She manages to fight Tess off. He asks if she needs anything for a headache. She tells him she is fine.

Evangeline tells John that he need no longer worry about Natalie or worry about her. They are both going to be ok. It is he who is not ok. She tells him all of his obsessing over whether he could have or should have done this or that is tormenting him. And she asks him to just have one night of peace and be happy that everybody is alive and well.

Bo arranges to take some time off and be with Paige.

Nash finds a way to get into Todd Manning’s office and somehow finds a picture of Todd with Jessica. He asks himself why it would be that Tess is afraid of Manning. Right then a young woman enters and asks Nash who he is and what he is going in Todd’s office.

After Spencer is done “talking” to Kelly, he notices David and Paige together. He knows they are talking about him. She tells him she won’t accept his “offer” to be chief of staff. She says she knows it’s just one more manipulation stunt so that he owes her. He indicates to her that he can control and manipulate her.

Bo goes to see Natalie and tells her he is so happy to see her. And he knows Matthew is just waiting to see her and know that she is ok. She tells him that she may have made a mistake to be spending so much time at the police station doing all the investigating. He tells her it was not her fault. But he does suggest that she leaves the police work to the pros. Right then, Roxie and Rex come in to see her. Roxie does not know exactly what to say or do in order to help her daughter. But she tells Natalie as soon as she gets out of there, she’s going to close up shops and give her a thorough spa treatment, facial, manicure and everything. She says she knows Natalie does not need it because she is already beautiful. Michael comes in and she tells him that John saved her life. He tells her that John would not have known where to look and be able to save her in the first place, had it not been for somebody else. She asks who that is. When she hears that it is Evangeline, she asks to talk to her. Evangeline goes in. Natalie tells her that she owes her a debt of gratitude for helping them find her. Evangeline concludes that she is not naïve enough to assume that the two of them can become “friends”. But she wants to call a truce. Natalie agrees that they should be able to get along after what they both went through together.

David goes in to find Spencer and tells him he may judge him for all of his ex-wives and such. But he’s going to marry Dorian, who adores him. That will be his last marriage. And Spencer has been dumped by two different women in one night. He means both Kelly and Paige.

Paige goes to Bo’s apartment. He has a candle light dinner for her. And Matthew is there. They tell him that they found Natalie and she will be ok. He’s happy about that. At first, he assumes that Paige is moving in with his dad and expresses his reservations about that. But he later tells her that he does like her. He does not confuse her (daddy’s girlfriend) with Colson (mommy’s ex). Alone with Paige, Bo confirms to her that he wants her in his life and knows that she is somebody who his son can trust.

Right when Jessica is being haunted by Tess again, Dr. Jamieson finds her. She tells him that it’s happened again and they must stop Tess tonight.

Jessica tells Dr. Jamieson that she believes the one thing that can protect her from Tess is Antonio. It’s because she and Antonio love each other so much. And she believes that love is one concept that Tess could never understand or know.

Right then, Nash is sitting alone, in love with Tess, ready to get to Todd or anybody else whom he believes might hurt her or take her away from him.

Antonio returns to Llanfair with Viki. She tells him that when she last talked to Jessica, she sounded like she wanted to talk to her about something very specific. Antonio tells her that is true and Jessica will have to tell Viki herself.

Alone, Jessica walks through the park and hears Tess telling her she ain’t gonna accomplish anything running home to mommy to rat her out. Tess reminds her that there is a secret that she needs to find out but which Tess will not tell her. OH, she was right in telling Dr. Jamieson that she COULD NOT WAIT to talk to him and get rid of Tess. Right when Jessica is in the park, on the ground fighting to get Tess out of her head, Nash sees her.

Hayes is in Statesville but still has some “obsession” about Natalie. He has a picture of her in her wedding dress in his jail cell.
