One Life to Live Update for Thursday, 25-Aug-2005

Blair tells Todd that he better stop lying to her about Margaret and stop telling Starr it was just her imagination that she saw her. She urges him to come clean and tell her what he knows about Margaret. But he refuses.

Right then, it looks like Margaret is ready to give birth. And she says she is afraid she will lose her baby. A doctor and nurse come to help her.

At the diner, Carlotta asks Evangeline and Layla how Natalie is. Layla sounds not too happy or friendly toward Carlotta, knowing that she is encouraging Natalie to take Evangeline’s boyfriend from her. Evangeline tells Layla that she need not get that attitude with Carlotta. What she may not know is that she owns the place and is Antonio’s mother. Layla is surprised to that out since she never knew before. When Carlotta comes back, Layal “makes nice” to her, telling her that she and Antonio have gotten to know each other and have gone to New York together. Layla then seems surprised and disappointed to find out that Carlotta has never heard Antonio say anything about her. She then asks her sister if she plans to “wait around” for John after he’s done rescuing Natalie. Evangeline tells Layla what she plans to do is prove that she had a life before John McBain and a life after him. Layla tells Evangeline that she has overheard some information that reveals that John McBain is hiding something very big. Evangeline tells Layla that she did not spy upon John when they were together. She’s not going to now. But Layla wants to do some digging and find out what John is not telling them.

Blair tells Todd if Margaret is still on the loose, they must call the cops. He tells her that he has a platoon of security officers who will find her. He makes it very obvious to her that he is hiding something from her. But he tells her that the only peace of mind for their children is in knowing their father can handle things. But right then, Blair is able to conclude that she knows the reason why Margaret came back is because she is pregnant with Todd’s baby. He tells her that Margaret is not pregnant. But Blair tells him that she knows that that crazy bitch raped him so that she could have his baby. She gets really upset and tells Todd she is so afraid of what Margaret can do next. He tells her she cannot do anything. She asks what makes him think that anything is different this time. Todd tells her that he is ready this time. If things go as planned, Margaret will be lucky if she sees tomorrow. Hearing that, Blair asks him what he plans to do.

Paige tells Michael and Viki that she is really glad that Natalie will be ok. And she is going to take some time off with Bo. Michael remarks that it’s about time she cuts loose. She admits that this is the first time in a long time that she’s had a life beyond hospital walls. Viki then tells Paige that she has gotten an opportunity (from slimeball Spencer) to be the head of the medical board. But Paige reveals to Viki that she does not want that position. Viki knows it’s because of Spencer and wants Paige to reconsider.

Carlotta reveals to John that she was wrong when she initially told him she didn’t want him moving in on Natalie because Natalie was in love with her son. She tells him that she knows he is good for Natalie because, were it not for him, Natalie would have died in the pit.

Margaret goes to the same doctor and nurse that she went to when she was holding Todd captive and he got a fever. The doctor comes and tells her he baby is fine. He believes her name is “Mrs. Dawson”. When he asks if she wants him to call her “husband”, she gets very upset in demanding that they do not call him. He remembers that when she took Todd to the clinic before, she would not let anybody call the authorities. And now she doesn’t want her “husband” to know about her baby. He asks if her husband has threatened her. She admits that her “husband” tried to strangle her. Todd is able to find out where Margaret is. The doctor calls him Mr. Dawson. He tells him he knows all about what Margaret has done. And he’s probably set himself up to look like he is her “abusive husband".
