to leave her before when the stalking ramped up just to keep her safe. What happened to Kiki changed Ava. She has a lot of regrets. It's also why she's so protective of Trina.

You're right that this is a new writing regime and they could want to put her back into it. But it will be out of character and a 180 from what we have seen from her. Avery and her safety has been priority #1 and that's contradicted by getting into a relationship with her father who is a walking target.
