As I've said to often, soaps are a long-term story format. The new writers had to re-position characters and we are not in the start up (exposition) part of the storyline. Once things start heating up and we get more information, it will either be very exciting or a disappointment.
For now as far as positioning here are the things I'm enjoying or find interesting:
The set of up for Jason and Sonny being at odds is believable (done well).
Sonny having his medication tampered with is interesting and allows Sonny to believably behave erratically.
Valentin being the head of Pikeman and the one who has messed with Sonny's medication-- fascinating.
Enjoying how the Lois/Chase wedding is being handled.
Thrilled Alexis is going to go back to being an attorney. LOVE TRACEY no matter what she does.
No clue what Ava is up to, but willing to see where it goes.
Deception is on the line ... Lucy is getting on my nerves, and
Chase's dad (getting a brain fart on the name) really enjoy the character and the storyline. Like Tracy his scenes are always worth watching.
Writing all this down, for me there are lot of things that I'm liking so I'll see how things go for the next few months.
I would prefer that John go back to being called Jagger.
