The root problem was that her alcoholism was spiraling out of control at the time she lost her license and there needed to be consequences. But she has a sustained period of sobriety and has earned the right to get her license back.

I'm talking in terms of soaps -- where I prefer storylines where there are consequences. But unlike real life, at some point it is more interesting to move onto the next storyline.

I'm glad to see Alexis back practicing law.
