IF Laura actually goes forward and tries to get a retrial for Heather and it looks like they will be going for setting her free -- absolutely go after Laura.
But at this point Laura is just looking into it.
And what does a retrial mean for someone who killed five people? I can see maybe being in a less severe prison/section of the prison. Or even having the ABILITY of maybe requesting parole after 15-20 years of good behavior and parole board approval.
This being a soap, I suspect Heather will be treated like Ryan -- the show finding a way to get her back interacting with the characters on the show. I understand Portia letting Laura know that she will not sit back and watch Heather be freed, but there will be plenty of time to demand Laura be removed if things get moving and she doesn't like what is actually happening.
