Maura is too good an actress and Ava too good a character not to leave the door open for her return. Ava is not one of the characters I would like to see go, but the show is cast heavy and with Lucky and Lulu returning, some characters had to go.

However, they need to give future writers the opportunity to bring Ava back. She's too good of a character to close the door on her.
