Molly believing Ava over Kristina because Kristina had didn't listen to Molly and stay home instead confronting Ava. Molly and TJ were infuriated with EVERYTHING Kristina did beyond sitting at home and acting as an incubator!!!! And if she was going go go out of the house or do anything she didn't even call them and get their permission first ... how dare she!
I would understand Molly believing Laura ... or Liz ... or Felicia ... or most others. But we are talking about Ava who is facing legal consequences if she doesn't find someone else to blame the accident on. Ava has everything to gain by lying, even if she wasn't charged for what happened to Kristina, it wouldn't help her case to get custody of Avery. Ava came up with her story AFTER the act when John suggested it. Kristina's story was consistent.
But Molly wants to blame Kristina and TJ has already blamed Kristina. If Kristina and TJ want to be parents they need to adopt.
Just because as a surrogate, the baby is to be given to TJ and Molly as parents with an adoption to happen once they take custody. But Molly seems to blame Kristina and want to punish her because she had a physical and emotional connection to the baby that Molly couldn't have. I doesn't mean that Molly would have loved the baby less because she didn't give birth -- but the loss of the baby was a loss for Kristina as well.
But Molly and TJ immediately blamed Molly because she should have known confronting Ava would be putting the baby at risk because .... well there is no reason to believe it would be dangerous, but "if she'd just listened to Molly... And after today, it is clear Moll WANTS Kristina to be guilty not Ava.
Kristina has not been perfect and once the baby was born had she refused to sign the adoption papers tor Molly I would definitely be team Molly.
But that isn't what happened, and neither TJ, Molly nor the audience knows what she might have done. We do know what she did -- and it was no anything that SHOULD have been risky to her or the baby.
