Sonny murdered someone in cold blood. Granted Jagger/John was terrible -- but if you grab a gun, walk up to someone and kill them -- then yes you are horrible and you do belong in jail!
Sonny had every reason to hate Jagger/John, but shooting someone who has earned your hatred IS STILL MURDER!!!!!
Unfortunately, my crystal ball was correct and Sonny is going to play martyr admitting to the crime to keep Kristina from going to jail. But since he actually did kill the man he is a killer not a martyr.
