to provide an alibi for him. I don’t know why Michael decided to lie for him. Maybe Michael didn’t want to be on the receiving end of Sonny’s betrayal accusations, or maybe Michael just isn’t very smart. Your idea about Kristina coming upon the scene instead of Michael would have been much better than what the writers came up with. I still think some type of self defense story would have been better, too.
