Kristina, Alexis and Carly are all suffering because Sonny shot a man in cold blood in the stupidest way possible and is hiding behind Carly (who is now guilty of of a major felony) Kristina and Alexis.

I don't care of Sonny eventually does the right thing and pays the consequences, a lot of his "loved ones" are suffering while he's living his best life.
