Jake/Joss (I think it was Joss. It was one of Carly's kids.) Jake "died" until they decided to rewrite it.

But literally every other soap has copied the storyline since GH did it with Maxie/BJ. It's become as much a soap opera troupe now as evil twins and baby swaps.
