Given enough time, any soap character worth keeping will do bad things. Sometimes, interesting characters are introduced doing bad things. Like Sam, Britt, Ava, Obrecht, Jax, Cody, and a host of others — it’s kind of a soap staple. If the actor sticks around, the character will almost always be redeemed. And when they attempt to redeem a character played by an actor I like, I’ll play along.

👍🏾

I hate Drew because he is played by an actor I can’t stand and his character is a smug, smarmy jackhole. I felt that way before he kissed Willow. I like the actor who plays Cody, so his character could drown kittens and I would pull for him vs. Drew every time. Okay, that’s an exaggeration. I will stop liking him if he drowns kittens. 😁

And I stated numerous times that I hate them both. I already knew your POV stemmed from either liking the actor, the character or both. That's your prerogative of course. I on the other hand can still call someone out. I adore MW and Ava, but hate her messing with Sonny's meds and hate even more that she did so with her daughter in his home. Now, I do not think for a second that Sonny would ever harm Avery but he could do so unintentionally by throwing something or having a bipolar episode and scaring her. Ava was foul for not even considering that.

Is that going to seem fair or make sense to everyone? Certainly not, and that’s okay. It doesn’t have to.
