Repeating myself, the thing that gives a character depth is their secondary relationships. Being a love interest or a disruptor has it's place in storylines. But is the scenes with friends, family, and secondary roles in their storylines that allows the writers to expose and the audience to see other sides to the character.

I like Sasha ok, but I've always seen her as a side character. This will give her a more solid base for future airtime with more characters and that is a good thing.
