Still no Diane, which is bizarre. Why they have Alexis isolated with Sonny for 2 days is beyond me. Where is Ned? He would absolutely be there for Alexis right now.
Sonny wasn't close to Sam? They were very close at times in the past and she lost his baby. When Sam and Jason were together they were all close. They didn't seem close in recent years but she was with his son. As for Ned, since he banged Alexis and cheated on his wife, not sure him spending a lot of time with her makes sense to me. Besides, aside from their brief affair a couple years ago they haven't been close for the better part of a decade or more.
Sonny and Sam had a torrid affair 20 years ago, that resulted in a pregnancy. They haven't been close in at least a decade either. I would not even call them friends. Ned and Alexis have known each other nearly 30 years. I would think that he would at least call on her. It's what you do when suffers such a loss. You offer condolences. I guess Wally is busy on DOOL?
Also, I hate the way Holly and Robert say Sasha's name. Sash-ah. It's like nails on a chalkboard.

I enjoyed Brad/Lucas scenes until the banshee showed up. Portia and Terry need to have their heads examined for approving Lucas as Sam's surgeon. That never should have been allowed. He didn't kill her but there is a reason doctors don't operate on family members.
How did Carly get into their locker room? Isn't that for doctors?

Agreed. At this point it's Sidwell, Drillow/Michael and while I've loved NLG and most of the actors involved in the Sam death SL, it's mostly very poorly written. As you said, where is Diane? I mention this a couple days ago but when Jason told her about Sam's death her reaction is weird to say the least. Not long after he told her she went on about her relationship with Robert. Very strange, it was almost like she forgot that Sam was her best friends daughter.
I do remember your comment about Diane glossing over Sam's death quickly. Jason, my favorite client, and man who knows how to sustain healthy, long-lasting relationships--can I pour my heart out to you? I wonder if JJ flew back home. I imagine it cost them a pretty penny to get him and he hasn't really done $hit since he landed back in PC. Go visit Bobbie and Spencer's graves. Go visit your brother in prison. Go see Tracy, the woman your father was with when he died. You dated Sam. Go see Alexis.
