As I mentioned above, Drew could have had a physical reaction to the combination of the ketamine and alcohol ... or injured himself while high and ended up in the emergency room. Plus when he woke up and saw what the videos of his behavior, his character is smart enough to get a blood sample to see if there was a medical reason for his flipping out.

The way Nina and Portia planned it was way too public and extreme which made it way to risky.
