The show has been all over the map with Cody and never landed on any of them long enough to make me want him to be in a romance with a character I like. His introduction as a con man didn't give him much to do. Likewise his time as a Deception model with Sasha was a C level storyline and their flirting only to discover they were cousins was a couple of episodes.
I really liked Cody in his scenes with Tracy (but then everybody is interesting in scenes with Tracy). I also liked his scenes with James.
His taking money from Kristina to seduce Ava is simply pathetic. 1) seducing someone for money is a stinkbuggy thing to do and 2) it is like sending a minnow to seduce a barracuda.
Molly needs a storyline, not a romance with another underutilized character the writers don't care about. All it will do is keep both characters on the back burner.
If the show wants to keep Cody, the show needs to figure out who they want the character to be, giving him a storyline to move him in that direction and then be consistent with it. A romance is NOT a storyline, it will simply end up with Cody and his love interest being on the back burner. Having Cody having a secondary role in other character's storyline will help s well.
But Cody as he is now would only drag a love interest down with him.
