little more compassionate. He could have suggested that she get some rest, and they would discuss it the next day. He could have suggested getting some help after all she has been through. I like Michael, and she wasn’t the best to him, but I was surprised he just got her out of the house like that. What was she supposed to do? Like you said, she was in no shape to drive. Even if it was someone I didn’t care for, I wouldn’t have left them in that state.
Exactly! I know she broke his heart and has been an utter fool but at the end of the day, she is still the mother of his children. If something awful happened to her, while in that state--he would have been beside himself with guilt. He had no way of knowing if she wouldn't drive into a brick wall or go jump off a bridge. When people are in despair like that--you have to handle them carefully and take it seriously. He knew she wasn't faking.
