Michael and Carly probably wouldn't have had the heart to shut him out if he came to them asking to see Wiley but that would've just confused the boy and made it harder for him. He backed off out of love for Wiley which was hard for him no doubt. But leave it to this version of Lucas to make himself sound like some long suffering hero.
